I was seriously craving Indo-Chinese food, and a friend suggested Frankie’s. I’m so happy I decided to try this place!

It’s a very simple, no-frills restaurant. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table once it’s ready. It’s pretty much a self-serve setup, but the process was smooth and quick.

We ordered chicken lollipops, chicken Manchurian (semi-dry), and combination rice—and honestly, everything was so delicious. The flavors were very close to what I used to enjoy back in Mumbai, which made the experience even better. That perfect balance of spice, tanginess, and Indo-Chinese flair was definitely there.

The portion sizes were decent, and the food really hit the spot.

If you’re craving authentic Mumbai-style Indo-Chinese, this place is absolutely worth trying. I would definitely go back for more!

If you’re searching for the best restaurant in San Francisco that delivers bold flavor, consistency, and an unforgettable casual dining experience, Frankie deserves to be on your list. This is hands down one of the top spots for Indian food in SF, especially if you love modern takes on authentic Indian street food.

Frankie stands out for its high-quality ingredients, perfectly spiced dishes, and fast yet thoughtful execution. Every bite is packed with flavor rich sauces, aromatic spices, and comforting textures that keep you coming back. It’s the kind of place locals return to again and again, which says everything about the consistency and quality.

The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it ideal for lunch, dinner, or a casual night out. Whether you’re dining solo, grabbing food with friends, or introducing someone to Indian cuisine for the first time, Frankie delivers a standout experience every time.

If you’re Googling “best Indian restaurant in San Francisco,” “Indian street food SF,” or “top casual restaurants in San Francisco,” Frankie truly checks all the boxes. Delicious food, great value, and a concept done right easily one of the best restaurants in San Francisco for bold, satisfying flavors.

If you are craving for street style Chinese food like Mumbai than this is the place my friend.

You must try Chicken Lollipop, Chicken garlic rice and their Chicken Chili. It’s my Goto place to eat nowadays. Lollipop is full of flavors and it’s crispy and delicious.

Must try this place without any doubt

Had a great experience at Frankie in the Bay Area!
I hadn’t had Frankie’s in a long, long time, and this visit really brought back the flavors I missed.
I ordered the chilli paneer Frankie and the noodle Frankie, and both were extremely good. The wraps were fresh, flavourful, and perfectly spiced.
Every bite was satisfying and nostalgic.
If you’re craving good Frankie’s, this place definitely delivers.
Will absolutely be back again!

We have ordered from Frankie a few times now. While their flavor is generally good, they do not offer any protein options for vegetarians. No tofu or protein options available with rice which I find is not catering to the vegetarian audience at all. The food is also oily and the rice has barely enough vegetables too, which offers you basically rice with indo Chinese flavors.

The food was good but was missing a kick and could be more flavorful.
The aloo Frankie with cheese was good but I wasn’t a fan of the two dips it came with which were both sweet. I think it needed some elevation of flavors. The chicken kebab Frankie was good.
The veg munchurian, while great in texture and the quantity, lacked flavors as well. We took it to go and added more sauces at home to make it up to our taste.
The service was quick. The atmosphere is casual.

I recently visited Frankie Restaurant in Sunnyvale, and it exceeded all expectations! The Chicken Lollipop is a must-try—perfectly crispy, flavorful, and tender with just the right amount of spice. It’s definitely a standout dish. On the vegetarian side, the Veg Frankie is hands down my favorite in the entire Bay Area. It’s packed with flavors, and the wrap is perfectly soft yet crisp on the edges. The balance of ingredients is on point, making each bite a delicious experience.

If you’re in the area, Frankie Restaurant is a gem that combines bold flavors with great service. Whether you’re a meat lover or vegetarian, they have something that’ll impress. Highly recommend checking it out!

There are very few places in Bay Area where you can get good veg Manchurian and Frankie is definitely one of them. It was slightly tangy but had perfect texture and nice taste. Hakka noodles were good too.

The service was same as other restaurants of the puranpoli chain. Order at the counter, have to take plates and cutlery from the counter as you require and only food will be served at the table. Rates are reasonable and food is freshly cooked.

This Indo-Chinese gem may keep things simple on the outside but the flavors are anything but. The burnt garlic fried rice is a masterpiece, and so is the chili chicken. The roll would have tasted better without the cheese. The chicken lollipop is juicy and tangy. The service is very warm, and the focus is exactly where it should be – on the food! If you want a no-frills experience packed with deliciousness, this spot delivers in every bite!

Absolutely loved the food here! The chicken Frankie and chicken lollipop totally stole the show — flavorful and loaded. Best I’ve had in the Bay Area. The Hakka noodles and chilli chicken were amazing too. Definitely a must-visit if you’re craving some solid Indo-Chinese!
