The rolls? Absolute perfection. Soft, lightly toasted, and strong enough to hold all the glorious toppings without falling apart. The menu is a dream for any hot dog aficionado, from classic to wildly creative. Every bite is a flavor party. And don’t you dare skip the sides. The homemade beans and potato salad are next-level delicious. I plan to taste every dog on the menu, as one should!
Pro tip: eat your masterpiece, then head next door to the Rage Room and smash something to balance it out. Hot dogs + breaking stuff = perfect day.
I’m spreading the word to my friends and going to taking my kids to eat when they’re in Maryville.
Brittany and Tim are very friendly and truly enjoy sharing their passion of food and of course “the rage room” right beside Franken Dogs.
5 ***** and look forward to sharing more as I try new hot dogs and menu items!
The twist is the wide variety of toppings including pulled pork, queso, hummus, mufuletta plus expected toppings like chili, slaw, kraut, etc. They also have chips, drinks, dessert, and sides like Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, and Calico/Cowboy Beans.
We stopped in for a quick bite on a lunch date today and we ordered immediately with no wait times. Wife’s favorite was the Cuban-ish, and mine was the All-Amercan Loaded:
Cuban-ish includes Queso, Pulled Pork, Pickles, Mustard all on top of a Nathan’s hot dog. Very yummy combination famously found in Cuban sandwiches, definitely translates to this hot dog variation!
The All-Amercian Loaded is similar to the Appalachian staples from up in WV all the way down to SC: beanless chili, onions, slaw, mustard, all on top of the hot dog and bun itself. Very familiar mix of flavors and my go-to when ordering hot dogs.
Honorary mention to our runner-up dogs, the 70s Dog and The Big Easy. 70s Dog includes hummus and avocado among others, and the wife loved the more unique combination. The Big Easy spotlights their homemade mufuletta which reminded me of food trucks across New Orleans and New Jersey simultaneously.
Local ownership, multiple small businesses, and a 100 on their health score. Strongly recommend trying Franken Dogs and supporting these locals here in Maryville. #buylocal
