Over the past 100 years, we’ve grown from our roots in New Haven to 17 locations, sharing our iconic New Haven-style apizzas (ah-beetz) with guests far and wide. Our grandfather, Frank Pepe, crafted pizzas using simple, time-honored recipes that have fed generations. Known for our signature white clam pizza and crispy, chewy, charred crust, we’re proud to be one of the nation’s oldest and most respected pizzerias, offering a truly authentic experience at every location.

The original pie, the doppino pepperoni, and the spinach and gorgonzola pizzas are the best from a flavor profile standpoint. Service could have been better, with our server hovering when she could have been cleaning, empty pizza trays left far longer than they should have been, and the fact that we felt rushed despite the fact the place wasn’t even close to being packed and ordered 5 pizzas and dessert.

We stopped by Frank Pepe for dinner while we were charging our car in the adjacent lot. The place was super busy on Thursday night, big group of parties were in the restaurant. We were lucky to get a table right away. It was pretty clean. The kitchen is visible from dining area. Everyone can the pizzas going in and out of the oven.
The menu has pizzas only and some salad. We started with the caesar salad. It was decent, with chucks of chicken and croutons. We ordered a small half cheese and half margarita pizza. I was impressed the pizza came out within 10 minutes. I liked the thin crust. Cheese pizza part was good. The margarita could have better, I felt there wasn’t enough cheese.
Our server was lovely. She did an excellent job, was very attentive, checked on us several times and wrapped our checkout in a minute.

Walked right in a got a table after the lunch rush. Service was quick. Small salad is prefect for two and it’s delish! Medium cheese pie with just the right amount of char. Signed up for the rewards and go a 10$ credit. Lunch for 2 for 22$ after the disco. Have also been to the Mohegan location and it’s the same perfect pie ! 10/10

We have been to this location many times as a family. I don’t know if it’s our love for the pizza, or the welcoming atmosphere, however, it seems to get better each time we go.
Service is constantly excellent. The pizza is phenomenal. Don’t sleep on the salads or desserts, either.
Prices have gone up with the seasonal menu change and addition to servers using hand-helds. But we love it.
I get that it’s not New Haven. But I take issue with anyone who says this product is inferior.
If it were closer to me, I’d be here for take out of family meal weekly.
