The drinks was great I especially enjoyed the blue Hawaiian . The food was excellent I had the bronzino it was so flavorful. The atmosphere is nice, server was nice and although I was to full for dessert next time I will start with dessert. They look real good you can see some of them in a fridge by the door when you walk in.

Absolutely fantastic! My wife and I got two pizzas to go for our first time going and it was truly the best pizza I’ve ever had. We have been to nyc, Chicago, and dc all in the last two years and this tops every pizza there! Highly recommend, you could tell they truly put their heart into it! I asked them to make similar to a margarita pizza but with ricotta on it and it was perfect! My wife loved the dessert she got as well! Will definitely be back and to think I had basically given up on finding good pizza in Ocala.

We had an absolutely spectacular dinner at Franco’s Italian Restaurant in Ocala on Friday night! My husband and I dined with our close friends and their baby girl, and from start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
Our server, Mirko, straight from Napoli, was phenomenal. Italian is his first language, and English is his second, which honestly made us trust his recommendations even more at an authentic Italian establishment like this. Every dish he suggested was an absolute chef’s kiss, flavorful, fresh, and unforgettable.
He was attentive, thoughtful, and so well-paced. Even though we arrived at 8 p.m. (and found out when we got there that they close at 9), he never once made us feel rushed. He never hinted that we needed to hurry, and instead treated us with the same care and attention you’d hope for at the start of the night. Our glasses were never empty, and his service was truly top-tier.
The portions are generous—most could easily serve two. My friend and I ordered the carbonara and agreed, we could’ve shared it or it could feed two or even three people. It was rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Another friend had the bolognese—also delicious. My husband ordered Steve’s Calzone, which was stuffed with fresh ingredients and baked to perfection. Again, huge and totally sharable.
We started with the sausage bisque, which absolutely blew us away. Creamy, savory, and comforting. Easily one of the best soups we’ve had. The fresh bread served with seasoned olive oil was incredible. And the calamari appetizer? Cooked to perfection and full of flavor.
Dessert was a highlight thanks to Mirko’s spot-on suggestions. Between us, we tried four:
Chocolate cherry amaretto tiramisu – indulgent and unforgettable
Classic tiramisu – a timeless favorite
Tuxedo cake – rich, elegant, and decadent
Chocolate peanut butter explosion – exactly as heavenly as it sounds
The atmosphere was enjoyable, not too loud or too dull and everything was clean.
We had zero complaints, only that we wished we had room to try even more! But we had lunch for the next day so win/win!!
Franco’s is a true gem with authentic cuisine, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will absolutely be back.

Very nice touches I noticed the heavier fancy silverware and the imprinted glasses with their logo. Comforting when I saw an older Italian man speaking Italian delivering the food to a table – it was Franco!
My husband and I had the roasted red pepper and sausage bisque and the pasta el forno and added a couple of meatballs on the side. So good! Will return whenever we’re in Ocala! Our waitress, Ashley was fantastic and made the whole experience very relaxing and inviting!

Wow! This is truly the best Italian restaurant in the U.S. — believe me. The food is authentically Italian, and the pasta is of the highest quality. Enjoyed a nice dinner. My husband had fish and chips, which he said was tasty and well cooked. I had veal parmigiana. The veal was very well prepared – tender and moist. We grabbed a limoncello tiramisu to go for dessert. It was light and refreshing. Perfect way to end the meal.

Sean/Shawn was the man (waiter). The food was made as we ordered it. From the surf and turf cooked to perfection to the bruschetta which was on point… Fresh bread with herbs and oil….
The bar tender made drinks like a pro, tequila sunrise Yes Please! Long Island iced tea for sure!
Totally worth my money. I would go again and recommend to anyone.
If I had to complain it would be the men’s bathroom was a single “stall” and didn’t have the ventilation it so needed. And it’s in a strip plaza so that portion didn’t feel very Italian either.
