The pizzas here are consistently delicious and well-made, thanks in large part to their incredible homemade dough. Each crust is perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with a fresh, authentic flavor that truly sets these pizzas apart. We’ve visited several times, and both the food and service have always been excellent. The Christmas specials, especially those with cranberry sauce and melted cheese, were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is bubbly and vibrant, and it’s clear everyone is enjoying their meals. It’s a wonderful spot for a date night or a family outing. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates truly great pizza!

Keelan was the perfect waiter, the moment we walked in he was welcoming, he informed us straight away there might me a delay, this didn’t bother us. The delay was hardly even noticeable. He had great enthusiasm and manners, if I ran a restaurant I’d want him to work for me.

This place looks really nice on the inside and outside and the staff were nice enough, however the food we got was the special of the day and was supposed to be meaty and that’s what we were expecting, but it had very little meat, overly burnt and tasted like pure burnt mushrooms it wasn’t horrible but not what we expected, we also got water and orange juice and the bottle the water came in was dirty with bits floating around inside which was very disappointing, we were very exited to try this place and were very dissatisfied with it. Our total also came to around £17 and there was an OPTIONAL fee of £1 .75 or somthing like that however we did not get told what we were paying until we saw the receipt and did not get asked if we wanted to pay that OPTIONAL fee, bringing us to paying £19.30 for 1 burnt pizza, orange juice and dirty water. Would not recommend. Really disappointed.

Pretty below par meal out this evening at franco manca Plymouth.
I ordered the meat special, expecting something ‘special’… see the photo, I would hope that anyone would agree this is pretty sub standard for a £14.25 pizza…
I count 6 small and thin slices of meat, I laughed when I got served it. Soggy in the middle.
Dough tasted good, and tasted fresh, so the actual pizza was up to scratch and tasty.
Very poor service.
I think this specific restaurant is understaffed, there are not enough people waiting tables. This is our second visit within a few months in between and we had the exact same experience of inattentive service to the point – although we wanted desert – we flagged someone down and got the bill instead.
Waiters asking if you’d like another drink after seeing an empty glass should be a given.
The optional service charge was comical after our experience, and of course we chose to remove it.
I really enjoy the no label lager here, it is really good.
The vibe, atmosphere and restaurant as a whole is nice.
Someone also needs to raise the height of the two mirrors in the men’s bathroom, I enjoy being able to see my face rather than my crotch!

Popped in on Christmas eve – myself and my partners Christmas plans had fallen through and we were just trying to make the most of being in Plymouth, and also desperately fancied a nice hot pizza. Studied the menu (an absolutely fantastic array of pizzas on offer at decent money), walked in and was greeted by the most bubbly, kind young gentleman. He was more than happy to help when I asked if they did takeaway (they did!) and took our order. Waited less than 10 minutes, restaurant was surprisingly quiet but the staff were all so bubbly and energetic. Got given our pizzas and also a free portion of tiramisu (my absolute favourite dessert ever). At a time where I was actually feeling pretty down, such a small gesture as a free portion of tiramisu on Christmas Eve really did make me happy.
Absolutely massive thank you and merry Christmas to your wonderful staff, and the young man who served us. I have not stopped thinking about my pizza (amazingly well priced – we paid £26 for 2 pizzas, way better than any Dominos!!) and will be visiting again next time we are in Plym!

We had a fantastic experience at Franco Manca, with exceptional service and truly great food. The menu offers an impressive range of gluten-free and dairy-free options, which made dining stress-free and enjoyable for our group without compromising on flavour or quality.
A special mention goes to Josh, our server, who went above and beyond there role to accommodate us. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure our needs were met, which made the whole experience even more memorable.
Overall, outstanding food, inclusive menu options, and service that exceeded expectations. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to others.
