Passed here while picking up some food and had to stop in and JUST BROWSE. Well we all know that didn’t happen. Moment of walking in smelled amazing. Everything looked fresh. I couldn’t go home empty handed. Bought spinach and cheese empanada, black and white cookie and a few apple things. Fresh and amazing…. Almost forgot… carrot cake was moist and fresh….

This bakery is a gem, tried their cappuccino almond croissant, alfajor and the blueberry crumble muffin and they were all exceptional. Need to come back to try their carrot cake that looked so yummy and tempting.
Staff was great and made me feel welcomed during mi visit.
They offer seats in the outside where you can sit, relax and enjoy of your food.
You can also buy raw honey, dulce de leche, cakes, cookies among others.
I strongly recommend this place!

There are 3 amazing people that work there and I see every time. Nicest ladies. There hasn’t been anything that I tried that is not the best. Cakes are great for office parties. $25 a cake is super cheap especially when they taste so good. The empanadas Uruguayan style are so delicious. Again, everything is fresh and tasty.

– At the NYC Union Square Market on Friday, I tried Francesca’s Bakery’s cider doughnut, raspberry filled doughnut (both with granulated sugar), and a blueberry corn bread. The raspberry and I believe the blueberries are from local farms. The doughnuts were good but a bit too sweet, while the corn bread was low in sugar yet had all the flavor from the plentiful blueberries and is made with mostly real corn and some wheat.

First time i walk into this bakery, was hoping for better.. $6.80 iced caramel latte was tasteless and very watered down. I asked if they had cold foam and the girl in the front looked at me like I was crazy lol. I don’t know what was at the bottom of the cup but it did not look clean. If those are coffee grounds from an expresso machine then it’s indicative of a DIRTY portafilter.. I got disgusted at the sight and had to throw it out.

Edit: included transaction history from my bank since they want to deny it was their shop lol…

I bought challah from this bakery stand in union square farmers market – the whole challah was undercooked! I also bought croissants – the chocolate in one was rock hard, almond one was decent but still way too hard for “fresh” if I would guess I would say it’s at least one full day old (like it was made for yesterday morning for example but they were selling it today)
And I bought apple cider donuts which weren’t bad but nothing worth of buying either and I will still rather buy fresh out of fryer at my local farm during apple picking season.
My biggest objection was challah, as it looked really nice but the second I tore into I found raw dough.
Unfortunately that makes me never to buy again anything from this bakery at least in this farmers market.

I work at Union Square and this morning I bought what I have to say is the BEST Danish I’ve ever had… and I’ve had a few. It was Apricot with the perfect amount of almond. The price was right and I cannot wait until the next Farmer’s Market day to have another. Brava Francesca! (I would normally have photos with my review but I ate it too quickly)

My mom got me a birthday cake from here and upon opening the box I noticed there was a little bit of mold on the strawberry but I brushed it off and took the strawberry off. Then when eating the cake I noticed the strawberries inside of the cake tasted odd, I put one of them to the side and examined it, there’s literally black mold on most of them !! So gross.
We’re not even bothering to go back, it’s pointless and I just wanted to enjoy cake with my family. So disgusted.
