I’ve been going specifically to this location since 2009 and now I live closer to the Dilworth location. Regardless, Foxcroft is my favorite restaurant in Charlotte and I’ve never encountered anything but friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. The food has also always been impeccable. The server we had tonight was extremely rude and not helpful about any part of our experience. My favorite truffle fries came out cold, one of the cheeses had hardened halfway while the other half while the other half was somewhat fresh. We did not even inform the server about any of this. The charcuterie needed to come with honeycomb, and when I asked the server for it, that was met with attitude just like every other question we had all the way to the end with questions about the rewards program. Not sure why this program exist if the staff is not even knowledgeable on how to use it or willing to find out.

Had dinner there yesterday – it was great, and I overall highly recommend it and leaving 5 stars. If this is on your list, you should go there – nice spot. One small dent in the service – I did ask for the plate to be picked up a couple of times (not our table’s waiter, but to one passing by, and maybe that the issue) but she seemed a little bit – not overly – irritated. But again, no dent in the overall evening. It was a great time and I recommend anyone looking at this spot to try it out.

My visit here was on a nice sunny day and it was a bit busy. There were people outside and inside. This was more of a surprise for me. My friend brought me here. After looking at the menu, I didn’t really see much I wanted. However, the waiter had great things to say about the truffle fries and donuts, so we got them. They were both beyond delicious. As I’m typing this, I can taste the donuts and now I’m craving them!! For wine, we got a Riesling. It was good. We drank/shared the whole bottle haha. I would come back! No complaints at all.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine, and some of the food was awesome, unfortunately some was just adequate.
The Truffle Fries were perfect, some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Fried perfectly so they were crispy but not hard and none were soggy or undercooked.
The House Made Ricotta was excellent, the green olives were a very nice addition, I think I would have like more of them but it was still very good.
The Caramlized Brussel Sprouts weren’t super caramelized and had far to much soy in the soy-chili glaze, if overpowered most of the flavors. Though not as caramelized as I would have preferred, the sprouts were cooked very well, not raw too raw or overcooked.
The Chicken Flatbread was our biggest disappointment, it was very dry and kind of bland because of it. Maybe the fault lies with the almond pesto but it just needed more moisture. Though we liked it the least, it was still okay, the Flatbread just wasn’t up to the same level as the Ricotta (nothing comes close to those fries).
We definitely plan on going back, there are several other things I really want to try, I just probably won’t get the flatbread next time.

Going to Foxcroft was a great decision! I love try new restaurants and this one definitely fulfilled my dinner expectations! The waitress was hospitable and attentive! My date and I shared the Truffle fries while we each had the Lamb sliders & the house made burger! We finished the dinner off with a small order of donuts that came with Carmel & chocolate for dipping!

My wife and sister recently visited this restaurant for what was supposed to be a relaxing evening out. They were seated and enjoying a glass of wine along with an appetizer when their experience took an unfortunate turn.

Their first server was wonderful—attentive, kind, and professional. However, after this initial server left, a different staff member took over and the tone of the evening changed drastically. Despite the fact that they were prepared to order dinner, this new server approached the table and said, in no uncertain terms, that they had been there too long and needed to leave. She asked, “Did no one tell you about our policy on how long you can sit at a table?”—as if they were loitering rather than continuing to order and engage as patrons.

To be clear, they were not lingering without purchasing. They were mid-meal, ready to order entrees, and doing what anyone at a restaurant does—enjoying the atmosphere and service. To be told that their time was up, without any advance notice or grace, was not only embarrassing but deeply disrespectful.

If a restaurant has a time limit policy for tables, that should be communicated up front and handled with tact. Rushing guests out, especially those still ordering, reflects poorly on the establishment’s hospitality standards.

What started as a lovely evening turned into a disappointing one, and sadly, this experience has overshadowed what could have been a glowing review. I hope management will consider how such situations are handled in the future—because customers who feel valued are far more likely to return.

When it comes to wine, it’s about class and atmosphere. Prices here are higher than average, and service is good. I absolutely do not like auto pour. Wine needs to be served from the bottle. If you use this automatic pour, then you might as well pour it from the box.

Very good place to sample wines without the mark up of restaurants and also enjoy some good food to accompany your selections.

I went late-ish and it could be that they had more patrons than normal but the wait time was a bit long. There was also no check back and when I finished I had to flag the bartender down to close out.

The food looked good and I was there before the kitchen closed but unfortunately was greeted a few minutes before 9 (I could have ordered but it was rushed at that point).

I will try again at hopefully a better time

Excellent service is a rare thing to find these days, but the Southpark manager, Sharon, and our server, Allie (sorry if misspelled) hit it out of the park Monday night. I had a crazy request, and she and Allie not only fulfilled it, they exceeded my expectations and we had a PERFECT date night evening. The food and the wine were amazing, and I will definitely go back again even if just for the truffled cheddar! It’s exactly the kind of place you go when you want to chill, visit, and enjoy a nice glass of wine.
