I stopped by for lunch yesterday and was really disappointed. Fox Bros used to be one of my favorite BBQ spots, but the food this time was dry and tasted terrible. It honestly didn’t resemble the quality they were once known for. Thankfully, I was able to get a refund, but it’s still frustrating to be served food like this from a place with such a strong reputation. Unfortunately, they’ve gone downhill tremendously.

I don’t know about Atlanta, but I’m from Charleston South Carolina. This is the driest brisket I’ve ever had in my life. The BBQ ribs was kinda sweet and extra dry also. I would give this place 4 thumbs down for bbq. Location, staff, building all very nice. I wouldn’t even feed my dog this barbecue tho

I went yesterday 2/14/26 around 10 something at night. They were out of all of the proteins except for smoked chicken and ribs, which was disappointing because I wanted to try their brisket. The food wasn’t good or fresh at all. The ribs were dry, lukewarm and tasted like they’d been sitting for a while. The macaroni and cheese an jalapeño cornbread tasted old as well. The sweet tea was ok. I most likely won’t be back because of the food not being fresh.

Without question some of the best barbecue I have ever eaten. This is the first time I have ever liked someone else’s ribs more than my own. They were tender and flavorful. The fatty brisket had the perfect amount of char, while still being soft enough to cut with a fork. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about green beans with tomato in them, but they were great for cutting the fat from the brisket. I only had one bite of the chili, I chose as a side, because it was a full meal by itself. I came in starving and still have chili and some green beans for breakfast tomorrow. The portions were great and so was the value. Allison gave great suggestions and Brandon at the bar, took great care of me. I’ll be back with my family.

I’m going to echo what everyone else is saying. Tender and well seasoned brisket, great chicken and amazing friendly staff. What a great place, I sat at the bar and the bartender Matthew was spot on with all his recommendations from food to beer and very pleasant and welcoming service! Very spacious spot for a fun atmosphere and great food and drinks.

Fox bros is definitely a hit or miss spot . When it a hit it’s a HITTT BUT baby when it’s a miss it’s a MISS! I ordered these two plates 15 minutes apart i received the first plate it looked so good i went back in and order a second plate ….. bad decision. Now the 1st second plate was extra thick meaty ribs (huge meat looks gross to me) so i asked if i can sub them out for the other end of the rack that more tender and regular like the first batch. I guess they decided to be funny and give an attitude bc this is the plate they gave me back . ROCK HARD SCRAPS that were clearly old . waste of 18$ . Mind you i came in the morning right when they were open so it’s no reason for me to get old food. If they worked on consistency and giving out FRESH products this place would make 10x more because their recipe is AMAZING when done properly.

First time visiting. We did have some high expectations given the reviews at the other Atlanta locations. While the portions of food were generous, and the food came out fast, the food was cold. I would have gladly waited longer to have hot food. The BBQ itself was the best part. The sides were nothing to write home about. Not sure if there were AC issues but it was hot inside which made it pretty unpleasant.

I almost did not eat here due to the place not being clean. I was told a couple of people called out. They started to get it together so I stayed. I had an excellent server (shoutout to Thalia) who also helped me with my selection. I had the Foxy Melt with a side of Chili. The sandwich was delicious and made just right. Toasted right, and the brisket was very tender. The Chili was very, very good. An overall good experience.

Brisket left a lot to be desired. It was dry and the bark was not well formed. The pepper and salt ratio was off. Service was good and the atmosphere is cool. Serviceable barbecue, but not worth a special trip.

We walked through the spacious interior which had the feel of a converted warehouse, industrial but comfortable. It being a pleasant day, however, we asked to be seated at an outside table. While there is a counter for to-go orders, table service is offered to dine-in patrons.

We were given both a regular menu and a brunch menu with special Sunday offerings that looked intriguing, but in the end we opted for a two-meat combo from the regular menu. As they seemed to be known for their brisket, and their story mentions the owners being influenced by Texas barbecue traditions, that was our first choice. In an attempt to add a little healthy balance to our weekend’s food consumption, we chose turkey for the other.

Along with a standard potato salad side, we picked brussel sprouts which were a special of the day.

Both meats arrived in thick slices and were pretty good-sized portions for a $23 tray. The turkey was nicely done, fairly moist with a good flavored rub on the edges. It did need a dab of mustard sauce for the middle pieces to go down easier, but that was more due to the size of the slice— and I am rarely mad about the chance to taste a good mustard sauce, which this was.

The brisket was a little more on the tough and dry side, even after specifying a mix of fatty and lean. It was also a little light on flavor, though it did have a bit of decent bark on it. It wasn’t bad by any means, but in comparison to actual Texas brisket I have tasted recently, it came up short. It is possible it was just undercooked by a few degrees, or maybe just a less than stellar cut to begin with, but again it gave me a good excuse to sample the sauces. Both the regular and the hot sauces added some needed spice. The result was satisfactory, and quickly consumed.

Both of our side items were very good, the type you might expect from a fine dining establishment rather than a bbq joint. The brussel sprouts especially were tastefully done and were a perfect accompaniment to the turkey.

Bottom line, if I lived in this neighborhood or nearby, I would be a regular customer of this Fox Bros. location for sure. I don’t see myself making a special trip back, at least not with so many other bbq options in the Atlanta metro. Perhaps I will still get a chance to try the original location one day. For now, I am glad to have enjoyed a pleasant stop and to finally have this one crossed off my list.
