New to the area. Have driven by Four Star Diner. Always talk about stopping but the exterior is kind of grungy, parking a bit odd so we didn’t stop until this morning.

This place is awful. Ordered “golden Belgian waffles” with strawberries… What I got was poorly toasted eggos with frozen strawberries that were nuked in the microwave. Only good thing at this place was the butter.

We put a lot of research in where our family could meet to eat after church on Easter. My brother called Four Star as he is a regular. They ensured him they were open till 2..We chose them because they were Centrally located. We went there straight from church and were turned away because they had just closed, it wasn’t even 1 o’clock. As we returned to the parking lot more people were coming in and we told them they were closed they said they were also told 2. It was frustrating because we drove a half hour to get there and there was nothing else to do n that area and had to try to find something else that wasn’t head too far in the opposite direction of where my father lives in Jefferson. You tell multiple people on the phone you are open to 2, you stay open till 2.

House Greek dressing is amazing, big pieces of seeded rye bread, fast service. Wait staff is fantastic. Eggs were a little undercooked (ordered over medium & they were more over easy with clear runny bits in the whites). I was hoping for romaine but small salad has iceberg lettuce. I’ll visit again, but steer toward other menu items like pancakes & waffles, omelettes or sandwiches or check for spinach salad options because that dressing is SOOO GOOD!
