Good example of Chinese -Canadian food. Nostalgic of what I grew up eating. Deep fried squid the batter was a bit too salty for me. Flavours are good and I like the large chunks of vegetables in all dishes.

Interior is like from the old west. Pretty cool.

Rave! … to the Four Seasons for a great lunch and excellent service with Mai 🙂

I really enjoyed the Special Fried Rice with Chicken, Barbeque Pork, and Shrimp because it wasn’t too salty and they used very little oil. The Beef Noodle Soup with the soft beef was okay. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp was fantastic! It wasn’t too salty and the coating on it was crispy and cooked to perfection. The Shrimp they used was very big and tasty! It complimented our Special Fried Rice very well.

It is very nice that they are open on the weekends, whether for lunch where the parking is plentiful or an evening buffet. This is definitely a place where we’ll come back for all …. four seasons 😉

As a first-generation Chinese Canadian, I have a deep appreciation for the rich history of Chinese diners in small-town Canada. (If you haven’t read Chop Suey Nation, I highly recommend it!)

My husband and I stopped in for lunch while visiting—he grew up here, so it was a nostalgic experience for him. The restaurant has that classic small-town Chinese diner charm, complete with simple, cozy decor.

It looked like just one person (likely the owner) was running the whole place—taking orders, cooking, and serving—but she was warm, welcoming, and handled it all with grace.

The food was delicious, with generous portions that hit the spot. I enjoyed every minute of the meal. A humble gem with heart and history.

The lady seemed not interested in serving us, the water had a bad taste. Not the best Chinese I have ever had. Will not eat there again.

It is a noodle house, if you order you beef chow main you will get four or five slices of meat and nothing but a pound or two noodles. After a tip, who who cares. The Sunrise Cafe was better.

Best egg rolls we’ve had in over 10 years!
Everything we had was good, portion sizes were more than enough, food was fresh, hot and flavorful.
