My first visit here was on 8/21/24 with my Sister, Michele. We were both off on a weekday so we decided to go downtown to get some coffee and walk at the riverfront. It’s located in the Banks Food Hall.

The Food Hall was surprisingly empty which was strange. I’m used to seeing it crowded. But then again, we usually would go here on weekends. The worker was nice and friendly. I ordered the Grilled pineapple Latte and my sister ordered the Butter Beer Latte. Both were delicious!

We walked around the riverfront with our drinks, spent quality time and enjoyed the day.

I would like to return again and try other drinks to include the food items.

Great coffee shop located in downtown Columbus and very convenient to the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts! Love the White Chocolate Iced Latte, and they offer tons of other flavors and build your own lattes. They also roast their own coffee beans locally. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Small local roaster, they seem more interested in trying to be a Starbucks than a roaster.

Almost no coffee grounds or beans in store. Just two or three 12oz bags for about $16.

Atmosphere is what you’d expect, very hipster local coffee feel which is fine. It was pretty nice inside.

My deal breaker was what they allowed to be written on their chalk board, several times.

It would’ve been nice to be able to support a local roaster that just enjoys coffee and not trying to make a political statement. I’m fine with all the “Eff Ice” stuff that was written, I’m fine with all the lgbtq+ stuff all over the shop, but I’ll draw the line at any “free ‘Palestine’” stuff written.

I’ll just order something online from a small batch roaster that cares about the coffee and not trying to be relevant next time.

This coffee shop off Broadway is perfect. The atmosphere, being so close to CSU, is very collegiate but at the same time welcoming to any age group. The coffee is excellent and the food fantastic as well.

Great local coffee spot, the storefront may look small but there are a lot of tables inside along with a couch at the very end. They roast their own beans, and drinks are served in paper cups. The espresso, cortado and latte we got were good, asked the barista about the beans they used and he said they use the House Blend. Ended up getting a bag of those beans to try at home, they’re pretty oily but pretty good.

The employees are friendly and helpful. I had a bacon egg and feta cheese with spinach, tomato, and mushroom. Also, I had a cold brew with a couple shots of espresso and mocha. The coffee and food both have a great flavor, and I like the cocoa they use. This place doesn’t just serve coffee and breakfast sandwiches, they also serve other stuff. I’m pretty sure there’s a menu online. I enjoyed it, and I would definitely visit this place again

So glad I stopped in during my visit to Columbus! I tried the “Matt’s Beard” latte which had orange and vanilla and it was amazing. Sadly they were out of eggs (I came by on a busy Saturday morning so it happens!), but I did have a classic everything bagel and it was a great bagel. I am assuming they source their baked goods from a local bakery because it definitely tasted like a fresh bagel and not store bought. Would definitely drop in again if I was in the area!

Great coffee but not so great service. My husband got a snickerdoodle coffee and I got a white chocolate and raspberry coffee. Both were good but the staff was very argumentative and standoffish. We were just passing through so we won’t worry about coming back

Had a good experience at Fountain City Coffee! The employees are extremely helpful and kind, the shop has great ambiance and is very clean. I ordered a Honey Cinnamon latte which was tasty, however they didn’t have any mugs for drinking it in the store which I found odd, and the foam was very much more of a cappuccino than a latte. I would come back, and give the another type of drink a shot because it was tasty!

It’s the alternative to the major coffee shop in the area. The atmosphere is calm. The coffee options are great, but they lack pastries and other foods. Strictly coffee.
