Our scratch-made menu, featuring high-quality ingredients from trusted farmers, includes seafood, sushi, pizzas, tacos, and desserts. Enjoy classic and tiki cocktails crafted with spirits from our Founding Spirits distillery.
Our space accommodates private parties, and our patio—equipped with fans, heaters, and waterfront views—is open year-round. Guided by our “Through The Eyes Of The Farmer™” mission, we care for our guests, community, and planet.

We had such a great experience here! Our server, Chalise, she was amazing, very friendly, attentive, and provided the best service. She made us feel very welcome and took great care of us throughout the meal.
The food was absolutely delicious. The pork ribs were flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the salad was fresh and tasty. We also tried the Four Cone Flight ice cream, and it was such a fun and delicious dessert. Every flavor was great!
Overall, everything from the food to the service was excellent. Highly recommend this place, and if you get the chance, ask for Chalise!

Our engagement dinner at Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers was unforgettable. Set right on the Georgetown waterfront at Washington Harbour, the restaurant’s warm, lively atmosphere made the evening feel both celebratory and intimate—exactly what we hoped for on such a meaningful day.
From the very beginning, Ed Lara was exceptional. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us plan a smooth and stress‑free event. His support made coordinating a surprise engagement for 16 people feel effortless – when we arrived, our families were welcomed with a high level of care, and the entire team delivered service that was professional, gracious, and perfectly timed. The food and drinks were outstanding; our group loved the variety, the freshness, and the attention to detail in every plate and drink. As an added bonus, prices were reasonable and the value delivered was 10 times better than anywhere else I could find in DC / NOVA.
My fiancée and I are deeply grateful to Ed and the entire team for helping create one of the most special nights of our lives. We will absolutely return for future celebrations and wholeheartedly recommend Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers to anyone looking for exceptional hospitality, delicious food, incredible value, and a truly memorable dining experience on the Georgetown waterfront.

Everything we tried was deliscious! I loved the artichoke and crab dip. It came with warm flat bread. The garlic pepper chicken wings with the farmer’s salad was amazing too! Service was excellent! We cant wait to go back!

We had a wonderful Christmas dinner and enjoyed our delicious prix fixe menu selections. Our server, Tiana, couldn’t have made our evening more special. She anticipated our needs and was quick to accommodate our requests, despite her busy holiday demand. My mom and I were very impressed by her professionalism and sweetness. Highly recommended for a special occasion!

After a long travel day, Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers in DC hit the spot. The reviews didn’t lie–this place is amazing and farm to table. Walk if you can, as parking’s can be tough. Our server, Fernando, was fantastic, recommending us to stellar dishes.
The steak was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful.
The fish fry combo was crispy yet light, a perfect balance. Great vibe, excellent service, and hearty food made for a memorable night.
Rating: 5/5 – Highly recommend!

My experience at this Founding Farmers location was so disappointing. I’m a solo traveler from Philly and was so excited when I initially made my reservation. When I arrived to the restaurant prior to ordering with my partner, I notified them a shellfish allergy. I can still have things like regular fish and other seafood but given how busy it was, the managers notified me that they could not accommodate my allergy. I was so shocked. It was my first time in DC and back in Philly, nearly every restaurant I’ve been to has been able to accommodate my allergy. I was so heartbroken. They explained that cross contamination happens a lot and it’s occurs often with how stations are set up in the kitchen. Given how they are a chain, I thought the procedures would be handled in a more organized fashion but I was surprised. The manager at the time directed me to just the pizza and burgers which was such a let down. I won’t lie, I teared up a bit because I was so excited for this to be a highlight of my trip. It was the last meal I was going to have before my two day trip ended. They still served us the salmon farm pressed sushi even though I notified them of my allergy which was a shocker despite how adamant they were of the danger of me having any seafood dish. The sushi was horrifying. It matched the description to a certain extent but as a person of color, seeing it layered like a trifle cake was such a shock and the flavor was so disappointing. Hoison sauce in Chinese and Asian cuisine is never really paired in this way and there was no soy sauce provided. We promptly got the check and I was on the brink of tears leaving. It was such a bummer that such a well known chain had such a poorly managed kitchen that can’t accommodate allergies. Luckily, my partner and I found some mom and pop restaurants that were so accommodating and friendly about my allergy. I made a second visit to DC and found that there are plenty of restaurants that offer better quality food for better price points and felt so much more accommodating. I won’t lie – I felt almost shamed and excluded at Founding Farmers because of my allergy and it really made me think negatively of the food scene in DC.

Such an amazing experience! We had yhe brunch buffet and we’re incredibly impressed with the quality of food. The fried shrimp and mac and cheese were delicious! My only critique is that the dessert bar had no chocolate options and they are know for making homemade chocolate. The cheesecake was delicious and made up for it. Charlise was an exceptional server! She was fun and attentive! She made our experience amazing!

One of the best dining experiences I have had in a while. Split the seared sushi grade tuna and the Chimichurri skirt steak & chicken enchiladas with a friend. Everything was cooked to perfection but the skirt steak was out of this world amazing! Was able to try several of the spirits they make which was an enjoyable experience. Finished with the peanut butter pie which was also delicious. Almost everything we ordered was a recommendation from our waitress, Miriam; she was a key reason the evening was so amazing. Chris also stopped by our table a few times to check in on us. Will definitely go back when visiting DC again!!

Food: had the all you can eat buffet on President’s Day. None of the food was covered by sneeze guards. It took longer than expected for some food trays to be refilled, like the roasted vegetables. The French toast was large deep fried sticks instead of sliced Texas toast or thin sliced toast. The syrup had a “Maple Syrup” tag, but it wasn’t thick and ran like water. The mashed potatoes were decent, but rather dry. The green beans were hard. The orange slices and fruit mix were good.
Service: service wasn’t bad, nor exceptional, just expected. Thus, 3 stars for average. I would have rated higher had I not needed to wait for coffee refills after returning from the buffet line.
Atmosphere: nothing bad, not exceptional. Thus 3 stars.
