This is my second time at Found Kitchen and oh my. I love this place. Their food is consistently good, the drinks are great and the service is outstanding. I was there with a group of 16 and our hostess Ceci was AMAZING. I had a gin-based cocktail, loved it. We had the steak with quinoa and potato slices, a wonderful chicken dish, some people tried the salmon with cantaloupe. The food was excellent. The desserts were nice, especially the silk pie. The only thing our company didn’t care for was the blueberry cheese tarts – they were dry and lacked flavour, but everything else was outstanding. I’ll also add I LOVE the ambience here.

Not sure if this review matters since Found will be closing this fall to make room for condos…but the overall experience was underwhelming. We ordered the olives and the asparagus tempura as an appetizer along with our drinks and food order all at the same time. The olives came out, (very small portion), …we waited another 8 minutes for the drinks and finally the asparagus. The smash burgers were a hit although the fries were soggy. My salmon measured 2″ x 4″ and 1/2 in thick…maybe 4 ounces? When they brought it to the table I thought it was a salad since the salmon was hidden beneath the greens. BTW…shaved Rhubarb sounds better than it tastes…it was very fibrous and impossible to chew. Nonetheless the Salmon had a nice crust but was over cooked for me. I prefer an internal temperature of about 125 – 135 degrees. This was closer to 160 degrees…which is inevitable when trying to get a nice crust on a 1/2 inch thick filet. Spend $4 more and provide a decent portion. At $33, I did not consider it “good value”. They only had 5 entrees, so when they were out of the monkfish and didn’t bother to replace it with anything, it further limited the choices. I could go on about how a server spilled my martini down the front of me or the other server who dropped the dishes on the floor splattering my shoes… But I realize that accidents happen and I wouldn’t normally hold that against a restaurant. The only delightful part of the experience was Mary our food server. She is a gem! For dessert we ordered the deconstructed chocolate silk pie and the Greek yogurt torte. The silk pie was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. Although the yogurt torte had a similar texture to a light cheesecake, it was not sweet at all.. which is fine with me. I liked the tartness. However without the blueberry compote, it would have been too bland. Despite my fondness for Mary, it is probably a good thing the restaurant is closing…maybe it is because they are closing that they didn’t seem to care. Sorry James Beard…this was my experience.

I went here for brunch, and it was amazing. While every other brunch place in town had lines out the door, they seated us immediately. The restaurant has a quirky, antique atmosphere with lots of interesting decor and places to sit. The food was wonderful, definitely a cut above typical brunch fare. I had a maple bacon donut which was quite splendid! Found has certainly earned a spot on my Evanston brunch rotation.

Went here for a baby shower today and the food was very good and servers were pleasant and attentive. The “library” area in the back converts to a private room and was cozy and perfect for the event. Recommend!

I was kind of disappointed in the hot buttered rum, but the tea was delightful, with enough honey. The glasses and serving dishes appeared antique. In any case, they were stunning. The live music on Tuesday is the main reason to be there, though.

Tastefully decorated, up-scale restaurant with moderate prices, cozy-dark atmosphere, rich drink menu, our starters(we had beet salad and brisket flatbread) were ok, they were pretty plain, main courses (we had meat balls and steak) were good, more flavorfull.

A must visit in Evanston! Amazing service, open air eclectic vibes and locally sourced food with a healthy spin. We ordered the Girl from Ipanema watermelon cocktail and the 2nd Chakra (old fashioned). Both were good. Had the pickled vegetables, beef burger and bone in pork chop served over succotash. Everything is shared plate style and the wait staff does a great job of spacing it out. I would definitely recommend a dinner here – they were accommodating of groups big and small.
