My son and I like to go here for the old time burger shack experience. They have outdoor seating. I’m fond of their spicy fried chicken sandwich. They also have the choice of fries, curly fries, and waffle fries. Of course there’s many soft ice cream based selections, but I haven’t tried any of those.

I really wish I took a photograph of the menu but this foster phrase is on the side of the road and we stopped because they had a grilled cheese sign for a dollar. So when we pulled over and parked we noticed up when you see it up close. It’s a $1.99 which still isn’t bad. So I got two grilled cheeses, and then looking at additional signs that were taped up on the window, I saw they had dipped chocolate bananas for 99 cents! What a steal! I ate like a 5-year-old so grilled cheese and a chocolate dipped banana is heaven to me!

The food was great, the attitude we received wasn’t so great. We arrived at 7:30 because google stated 8:30 was closing. We had one lady take our order and she was very nice, but when i asked if i could use the restroom and another lady came out with attitude. Yes the lobby was dark, but i simple no would have been fine without the aggression. As we waited for our food we heard the second lady complaining about us coming so late and they were about to close. I didn’t see an hours sign anywhere. Just be advised, it closes earlier then google. And they don’t do the discount from online.

This Foster Freeze has been the staple for our family since both my mom and I where little. Always a treat to go too! The past couple of times we have been the staff have not been adequate. Ming always interacted with us and loved seeing smiles on his customer’s faces. The younger staff is quite rude and seems too not want to do there jobs. It is quite sad that our favorite joint to go too in Pinole and the only one we eat at is no longer a fun experience but instead more of a headache.
