Never before have I ever came across a donut shop that’s closed super early in the day. I guess you have to get up at the crack of dawn to get donuts. I feel like they intentionally make small batches in order to stir up a rabid push to get there. That way they can close early. Dunkin Donuts will end up getting the business this place will miss out on due to the two hour window nonsense this place loves to employ. You might sell out early but think about the business you will miss out on for the rest of the morning. Dunkin’ Donuts is gonna love it.

Every time we try to go here, they are always sold out. They started closing at 10 AM because they sell out so often, but the picture below was taken just before 9 AM. I’ve never been to a donut shop in my travels that closes at 10 AM. I appreciate that they are so popular that they sell out regularly, but it seems like they should make more donuts and hire more employees who will work after 10 AM instead of turning away customers. They seem complacent and unwilling to make a change in order to better serve their customers.

Get there early because they always sell out. Pre-order on Thursday for Fritter Fridays! Their apple fritters are ginormous and so tasty. My favorite is the custard filled. I’ve never had a bad experience, and supporting local is always best.

Their donuts are great. He there early. They run out quickly. Part of me thinks they should make more donuts. Part of me thinks it’s cool that they don’t waste so much. There are never enough jellie donuts. My kids are big fans. I can never buy enough.

We Love the taste and texture of the frosting and the cream in and on these Longjohns, but the dough is not “yeasty” and “tender”. It’s firmer than the doughnuts of yesteryear were. “Yeast” renders donuts extremely soft and tasty as were the donuts of my youth. Yeasty donuts would literally collapse whenever you’d bite into them! I’m sure Yeast Doughnuts are more time con-suming and that’s probably why they’re (as scarce as hens’ teeth) these days… but, as expensive as they are, no matter where you buy them, they should have more Yeast in them, because consumers are certainly paying for that quality, when they purchase them, anywhere!
With that said… These are among the the best, that are available in this area.

These donuts are amazing!! I don’t get to Vincennes early enough to get them often, but if I’m in town when they are open, I will absolutely be there!

Went there this morning 5 to 6am. Sign said drive up only. So went to drive up, about got stuck, bottomed out my car. Sign at 5 minutes to 6am, sign said’Sold out’. I left. Had only been there a couple of times before. Keep your doughnuts. I cannot afford bottoming out my car. Crazy …. your doughnuts aren’t that great!!!!

I’ve started taking my daughter on Friday mornings to get donuts here to start our weekend off right. Very very yummy. We do wish there was some sort of chocolate one though. Keep up the great work

Traveled from Buffalo,NY to visit our family and wanted to bring a dessert for our morning gathering. Googled donut shops and read through the reviews for Fossmeyers. I was impressed with what everyone had to say so I chose to go early. The gentleman who greeted me at the drive thru window was pleasant and the donuts….OH MY! they were so tender and fresh. My favorite is the orange cranberry as the flavor was spot on! I will be stopping again before we hit the road to head home. The only negative is that we don’t have a Fossmeyer’s back home.
