It has the perfect covered outdoor patio for spring and summer weather. Our waiter was attentive and quick!
The lemon drop martini was perfection.
We got the prosciutto and mozzarella appetizer was really fresh and came with bread which was amazing.
The rigatoni vodka & Cacio e Pepe were just okay!
This place was a little hard to find. The signage for the restaurant wasn’t immediately clear once we arrived downstairs.
There was plenty of seating, both inside and outside ( and since it’s winter, several outdoor heating lamps to keep you warm).
We were immediately seated for our party of 6 even though we weren’t all there. Our server Leo was super nice and attentive without being overbearing. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks. He made very good suggestions on both.
We ordered plenty! The fried calamari, shrimp and branzino – amazing. The salami and cheese board with the jam was also delicious but the stuffed pepper was a little tough to cut and chew. The focaccia was so tasty that we ordered several rounds. The meatballs were large and juicy and paired well with the slight saltiness on the focaccia. Three of us had the tagliatelle but thought it lacked a little seasoning. One of us had the pesto shrimp linguine that was sauced well and very tasty. The only child at the table has the rigatoni with red sauce and cheese. She said it was good but asked for salt for it. The last person in the party has the Cornish Hen with the sauteed spinach, which were both well cooked and seasoned.
We also ordered the cauliflower ( so great and well seasoned) and the broccolini ( a table fav!).
The atmosphere was beautiful, inviting with an amazing aura. The lighting was so comforting with smaller lights on the table to assist in reading the menus. I don’t remember if there was music but we could all talk to each other easily. It wasn’t loud or cacophonous.
Our bill was just under $500 for 6 people and included gratuity automatically because there were more than 5 of us, which we didn’t mind. There was also a time limit for each party and because we had a large party, we had 2 hours. And yes, we were there the entire 2 hours.
It was an awesome night and we would definitely come back for another family dinner.
My reservation was set for 8:15pm and we did not get a table until 8:45pm. The restaurant claims they have a strict 2 hour limit (or less) for every table, so it would seem like reservations would be accepted and seated in a timely manner. While we waited, they did supply seats to the women in the party and had us out of the way of the other guests by seating us near the restrooms. The manager said she would take care of us, but didn’t elaborate on it. As soon as we were seated, the fire alarm and lights went off and stayed on for about 5-10 minutes. The manager had a tree of espresso martinis delivered to the table on the house. This was very considerate, unfortunately nobody in the party enjoys espresso martinis. I ordered the fried artichoke appetizer and it looked beautiful and floral. Unfortunately, the taste was overpowered by the oil it was drenched in. Dinner portion sizes were much smaller than anticipated, poorly reflecting the cost and quality. I was told by one of my group members that the meat sauce tasted like a generic canned grocery one. I ordered the gnocchi and I did love it. I wish the rest of my party was able to enjoy their dinners as well. I also ordered a sweet Riesling wine to pair with my dinner, and the one that was recommended to me was more tangy than sweet. Additionally, when it was time for dessert, I was very excited to try the tiramisu that many had complimented in reviews. Unfortunately, the restaurant had no more… Finally, the check could not be split between people depending on what was ordered, only evenly amongst everyone (and this is pre-tip, as 20% is automatically added since we were a party of 6+). We did calculations ourselves and handled that on our end.
We also had the tagliatelle alla bolognese, and it was hearty, rich, and cooked perfectly. Simple, comforting, and delicious. Definitely a great place to come back to for an easy, cozy night out.
The Bucatini con Ragu di Coda is one of the best Italian dishes I’ve ever tasted.
Service was very attentive and asked how the dish was, taking feedback directly to the chef. Ambiance is fire, really, outdoor heaters make it perfect outdoors even into the evening.
Di manzo steak, excellent flavor, tender but difficult to cut. Vinegary salad good contrast to the sweetness of the finished steak. Enough acid without the lemon.
My only complaint; and its a small one, I don’t want to struggle when cutting a steak, the steak was adquately tender, but the steak knives could use a sharpening.
Forza is completely satisfying while making you want to come back again and again. One more reason to visit Atlanta!
