I ordered online and I asked for the vegetables to be cooked tender but they were not tender they were very hard. I really love the things I normally order my only complaint is the veggies are way too hard for us. If you really like very crunchy veggies then you’ll probably love blue roof.

New to the area and have been searching for my go to Chinese take out spot. We live in the Ashland city/pleasant view area and the one Chinese restaurant here was absolutely awful so the next time I ordered Chinese I tried a spot in Springfield. I thought it was this place so today when I wanted some Chinese I called and ordered from here but once I pulled in a realized this wasn’t the same place, but was hopefully it would be good. It was not. I’ll mention the positives first. I called in my order while leaving Kroger. It was ready by the time I pulled into their parking lot. So it took maybe 3-4 min. The service was friendly and the food came out fast and hot. Unfortunately it was horrible.
I ordered the crab angels and the fried wontons. The crab angels were super super salty. Inedibly salty. And very oniony. The fried wontons were on the opposite side of the spectrum where they were pretty bland and flavorless. I ate two of each item hoping that my first impression of them was wrong and trying to convince myself that they weren’t as bad as I thought. But they were. I hate wasting food, or money, but I had to throw these away because I just could not eat them. Both were also extremely greasy. I could feel the oil in my arteries and pores. So that was $14 wasted. Maybe other things on their menu are better but I’m not willing to try it again. After eating food from the Ashland city Chinese restaurant I thought it was the worst I’ve ever had but this place was just as bad or actually worse.
I think the place I liked was called china one after searching more following this mix up. So I’ll try and remember to go there next time

I just had an exceptional experience at this place! I called ahead (5 mins) to place my order for sweet and sour chicken with egg drop soup. When I arrived, the super sweet woman checking on everyone told me to park and skip the line because they would have my food ready inside already! It was really impressive seeing everyone work together to ensure all the orders were accurate and as fast as possible. There was a ton of food too! (See photo). Will definitely be back.

It has been a long time since we had Fortune Village. We drove through today and picked up lunch. They have the best crab angles!! The Mandarin Deluxe with garlic is delicious!! The lo mein and general chicken are also delicious! Everything was hot and fresh when we got home. The service was good and efficient.
The Mandarin deluxe is the best. It is sweet and spicy with chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetables. It is not fried like the general but is so very tasty!!

This was our first time coming to the blue roof, and sadly it’ll be our only visit.
I’ll start with the positives: The staff was very polite and helpful, and the pricing was on par for Chinese.
The negatives: the food is not good. The “fried rice” is brown steamed rice clumps, didn’t taste like fried rice at all. The Lo mein noodles were spaghetti noodles covered in some sauce. We never received our egg rolls in the bag so we can’t report on those. But the General chicken we had was very questionable! I’m not sure it was chicken, it was the texture of just mush (like mashed potato balls in a brown sauce). It tasted awful. Our daughter couldn’t eat any of hers after one bite, it was so bad. She gave her entire order to the dogs and she made a frozen pizza instead. My husband and I tried to eat some of ours, but it made us both so sick to our stomachs we spent the rest of the night in the bathroom. Sadly, the best part of the meal was the plain white rice.

Purchased 2 meals and fiirst was very disgusting like slop it was more grease than ive ever seen in a meal but what tops the bad off is i smelled the scorched smell as i opened the meal to eat. 2nd meal was just as disgusting made us throw both meals away we will never eat here again im highly upset and disappointed this place use to be very good

While the building doesn’t look like much, some will even say ” sketchy ” they absolutely have the BEST Chinese food in TN… Highly, Highly, Highly recommend!!!

Asian looking lady is extra extra rude. Terrible attitude for no apparent reason. It was so bad I asked for an immediate refund. This is a drive thru only and was my first time so I didn’t quite know how it worked. She was upset about that lol. I’m glad I requested my refund because as I looked inside the building. It looked dirty and smelly. Pls beware
