My boyfriend and I are were looking for some lunch specials in Renton and mu boyfriend chose Fortune Noodle House out of the options that I had for him. We arrived here and there was only one other table occupied. We were greeted by the cashier/hostess/waitress who let us pick our table and dropped off some menus. I noticed the lunch special menu wasn’t included and had to ask the waitress if they were doing a lunch. She brings over the lunch menu and tells me that they only have combo 2 and combo 3 so I went with my combo three while my boyfriend got the Single Dinner combo 2.

Our entrees come with a soup which I thought would be a simple soup but we were provided what taste like a Vietnamese soup that came with some noodles, meat, and vegetables. It was delicious and not too spicy that even my boyfriend enjoyed his portion. The food came after several minutes and it was just okay. The sweet and sour chicken tasted off, the meat just felt really off. The phad thai for me was not really flavorful and it was really clumpy which I’m not a fan of. The crab rangoon was delicious though. My boyfriend’s beef lumpia was pretty tasty and he said the Mongolian beef was tasty but agreed with me about the sweet and sour. The portions are pretty big for a lunch special but it just wasn’t good. The waitress never checked on us after dropping off our food which was unfortunate as we needed water.

The inside was nothing memorable either, they barely have any decorations or any attempt to give the restaurant an identity. They had a large flat screen TV playing views of different tropical islands but there was no music. After we got our food, the waitress turned on a very loud fan and I wasn’t sure what that was all about. Overall, don’t think we’ll be back as the only thing really good was the soup and appetizers which should not be the case for a restaurant.

My bun Bo huo was the saddest one I’ve ever gotten in my entire life.

Wrong veggies, they gave me pho veggies. and only one type of meat. Brisket. Which is wrong… over $15 for this is unacceptable….

My group of 4 was looking for an Asian restaurant with lots of options, and we found it! We tried a variety of different things, and everything we ordered was superb. We ordered the crab rangoons, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, yellow curry, pad Thai, and chicken pho. Everything was made to perfection! The staff was very nice, and service was quick. I definitely recommend!!

We wanted to try this place for a long time and finally did. We used to come here many many years ago but I think it changed either management or menu or both. They had several GF items including hot and sour soup, back then. Next time I called a few years later and was told they didn’t offer ANY gluten free options. Totally disappointed. Now I see on the menu that they do offer some GF options. We’ve ordered twice and got Singapore Noodles that were shown as GF on the menu. It was delicious. Lots of fresh veggies with bbq pork, chicken and shrimps. A bit better the 2nd time we ordered as there as a bit more shrimp and bbq pork included. The Chicken Satay was okay. Seasoned well but a bit dry and overcooked. It came with a tasty but very thick peanut sauce, gravy like texture. The portions are pretty good for the price, for what we’ve tried so far. I would recommend trying Fortune Noodle House as their menu is quite large and varied especially if you don’t have dietary concerns. They do have a menu with both vegetarian and GF options as well as other allergies. About 6 or so dishes to choose from.

Chicken porridge was delish. Perfect alternative when you’re not wanting pho to feel better. The porridge had alot of flavor. I also had the shrimp fried rice and lumpia/fried egg rolls. Both was good and tasty.

I’d say this place is about average for Asian food. The pad thai was a bit flavorless though to be fair because it was for my daughter we got the non-spicy version without green onions, so maybe the regular version would taste better.

The orange chicken was heavily breaded and didn’t have a whole lot of chicken, as well as being relatively flavorless. It was sweet and sticky, so sticky we had a hard time peeling it off the paper after dinner. It wasn’t bad by any means, but just average. Reminded me of small-town Chinese food where they don’t want to scare anyone off by being too interesting tasting.

The Vietnamese beef Banh Mi sandwich I got was okay tasting, but again it lacked any spice or interesting flavor. The beef was a little fatty and chewy. I’ve had much better Banh Mi sandwiches and I wouldn’t order it here again with beef, though I might try it with chicken.

By far the best dish was the vermicelli noodle Bun Pork and Egg Roll my wife got. She quite enjoyed it, except for the pork: it was too fatty so she didn’t eat any of it.

A very three star experience all around.

I was in the mood for pho, my friend brought me here. I was not expecting anything much. I also didn’t want to hurt my friends feelings for bringing me here. To my surprise the food where was fantastic! To be quite honest their pho was on point. The broth was so tasty. We also ordered other dishes which were also very good. They serve, Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai dishes. We will come back for sure!

This is honestly so underrated. The price cannot be beat.

So, I got the pad thaj. It was HUGE. The noodles were fine and well-seasoned, my only complaint was that there was a lack of meat – but I was never much of a meat eater anyway.

Vietnamese iced coffee was good, though FYI it’s like 30 coffee and 80% ice – which was rather dissapointing. But it was good! Just not something I would get if I had known beforehand, and not really worth the price as such.

My father got the pho, he said it was good and combined with the price made it very solid.

You are offered a variety of condiments as well to go with your pho, as typical of Vietnamese restaraunts. As well as the chili oil, sriacha, and hoisin as standard.

Overall, the real star of the show is the pad thai. Such a good dish for the price, I recall someone reviewing it as bland – but I mean, you ordered it without the spice LOL.

The place is solid, everything was fine, service was lovely considering the lack of labor on the floor. Would come again for a casual meal or if I am craving some Thai or Vietnamese food.

Excellent food and very nice people. If taking your food to go, call ahead or use their email ordering system to speed things up. They are not fast, but well worth the wait. My wait tonight was about 25 minutes. Our food tasted fresh and freshly prepared too. It looked very nice not at all oily or anything like that.
They are located in between Union and Monroe, pretty close to Renton Technical College. The restaurant is small and oarking out front can be tight.

Hidden gem in the area! We have tried many items on their menu and honestly every single item is excellent! The fried rice and chow foon are full of wok hei, and the grilled meat is perfectly tender! I would’ve kept this place a secret, but the owners are the friendliest and the sweetest, so here I am letting the secret out! ❤️
