Local family owned restaurant that serves legit northern Chinese food. Must try the “pancake” that is a savory egg and mung bean flour crepe with a crunchy fried dough layer inside. Tofu and shrimp soup is also very light and delicate (and healthy) and not too salty. They make their bao buns from scratch and one order comes with 8 huge buns!! Service was friendly and everyone was chatting, it was a good atmosphere. We will be back.

Great food variety!
You can understand the northeast Chinese breakfast culture when you visit this place. Food is authentic and delicious.
People who work in the kitchen can be loud, you can experience the streets breakfast atmosphere here.
Food is very tasty according to friends who went with me, who originally from the Shandong
region. Ilike 油条 most.
Food comes pretty quickly, serves is okay, but cleanness have rooms to improve.

Jianbing is great. I think they used green bean flour, authentic and not sticky in mouth. Tofu soup is also great, not too salty, just right.
I ordered my breakfast and ordered Baozi to-go. After I finished my breakfast, the Baozi is ready.

2025-3-21 update: still love the Bao the most. Tried huixiang Bao this time. Love it! Others are ok, normal standard… (zhajiang noodle is not good).

Super authentic northern china breakfast. The bun has oil sipping out. (Shown in pc too). That is the best state of a bun. 懂得都懂。 the cashier and server were very friendly and helpful. Would come here every time I visit LA in the future.

We ordered to go and were told to wait for 1.5hr to pick up. After being back, it still needed another 20min. Then when it was the time, the order was still not ready and the truth was they forgot our order. It was prepared quickly after I asked order status seriously. The overall taste was great BUT it never worths spending 2hr for only a 3-item order.

I’m sure it’s very authentic northern China (Tinjian) cuisine as they were really busy early in the morning when we visited.
Had the soy drink $2.99, Chinese donut 油条 $2.50 both classic Chinese breakfast found in many regions of China, not just the north. Both very good. Also had the #3 rice crust dishes 鍋巴菜$3.99 which for me was an acquired taste. Basically intentionally slightly burnt rice crust from bottom of pot and slathered a thickened soy sauce with red bean curd and couple other ingredients to soften it.

Came here because I was craving for some lamb soup. Everything tasted alright, fair price. The wait can be long. Growing up in Tianjin, this was a little bit below my expectations.
