This is the best Chinese restaurant in town hands down!! I ordered general chow with Lomain. And chicken with vegetables. Both dishes were delicious and food was served extremely hot. Fast service too. I rate this a 9.9 out of 10.

I have gone here back then when it started off as Papa Lee. Ever since my wife and I started coming back here as Fortune Cookie, we both enjoyed it! I got the General Chow/Tso fried rice along with an egg roll and wonton soup included in the meal. The chicken tastes exactly the same as back then. I also ordered the egg drop soup as an extra. The recipe did change (more garlicky) but it was still hot and delicious. My wife really liked the honey sesame chicken and white rice w/ egg roll and chicken soup. The portions are generous, filling, and of great value. I highly recommend!

Here is a gem of a little restaurant, where the food is made from scratch, and everything we tried in our party of eight on 10/14/2023 was just so flavorful and fresh, bursting with flavor. Lo Mein Chicken, Garlic Beef, Orange Chicken, General Chow’s Chicken – all superior in flavor and appearance. It’s a very small place, but they do a booming take out and drive-through business. We should all be thankful for local restaurants like this that work so hard to put together outstanding dishes. The portions are very large, and the prices are reasonable in the context of the current economy.

Had ordered the kung Pao #30 and it was absolutely trash it had more vegetables and about a cup of peanuts than the chicken beef and 2 shrimp it mentioned in the description. Asked for it mild on the heat and it was blazing hot as no chili paste was held back at all. Fried rice was super cold I had to use it to balance the heat from the actual entree which I could not enjoy because it was so spicy and not how I ordered it. Upon writing my review I was confronted by the owner Consuela who seemed upset about me complaining about the dish to the cashier. She told me that nothing could be done since a portion of the food had been eaten. That was just the rice and not the kung Pao entree. I explained that I could only eat the rice because it was cold and took away the burning flavor of the kung Pao. She became very upset and seemed as though she was going to ask me to fight, seriously! Once she saw the amount of people who have seen my reviews she changed her tune
And offered me a refund on my dish.a I thought my wife and I had found the perfect place for excellent Chinese food. It was our 2nd trip to the place and the first time was excellent and I thought it was definitely worth the trip to go from Edinburg.Oh I am definitely not going there again and will DEFINITELY not drive there again from Edinburg and encourage others not to do so as well either.

Me and my friend experienced diarrhea today, after dining there. Hope its not food poisoning as my companion is experiencing nausea and vomiting as well. Weve been dining there for ages and looks like they have a new mgmt as they have new employees. We will not go back again there!

I love eating Chinese food. Close to home and good to eat. But one issue with this place is they don’t pick up the phone… EVER. And no, They’re not busy when I arrive. Had stayed away for months, and definitely won’t be back. I’ll drive the 20 minutes where my business is wanted. End up having to wait 20+ minutes for my order because they don’t want to pick up the phone. Owners need to really look into who is here ruining your business. I’d be very concerned to know how much business you’re loosing cause the employees you have don’t pick up the phone.
