Booked Valentines Dinner weeks ago, we were seated at a tiny table in a restaurant 90% empty. They seemed irritated when we asked for a booth. We got the booth next to the kitchen door. Appetizer was good and that was it. 80.00 for what you see in the photo -1 king Crab leg with no claw. Half my husband muscles were closed so inedible. No one asked if we needed a refill. I was super disappointed we were so looking forward to this evening. I could understand if they were busy but look at the photo, they were not.

We went late afternoon, so we had the place to ourselves. The waitress was very helpful with food choices, and you can tell they are proud of the food. As they should be. The noodles are home made on site, you can watch this process through a dedicated viewing area. All of our meals were excellent, we will be visiting again.

I was wary to try this place bcuz of some of the reviews. But it’s a very short drive from my partner’s place and we’ve been wanting to check it out, so finally pulled the trigger. It was legitimately very good. The menu, from the drinks to the appetizers to the entrees and desserts has a great selection that provides variety but is still curated.

We had reservations and were seated right away, and our server was very attentive throughout the night. Drinks and food all came quickly. I thought the portion sizes were very good, and the prices fairly reasonable. It’s not going to be the least expensive place you go but it’s not supposed to be.

We got 2 appetizers:
– lobster maki
– waygu meatballs with a bread stick

Entrees:
– the fjord trout
– the lobster linguini

Dessert:
– the chocolate Bundino

4 drinks:
– 2 Mediterraneans
– 2 other drinks my partner ordered but I don’t remember what they were

The lobster maki was SO good. 8 pieces I believe. Large sized roll. Waygu meatballs were so tender and yummy. Perhaps a *pinch* salty but that’s personal preference. My partner didn’t think they were. You get 4. Plus the breadstick. They were medium sized. I think it was reasonably priced for what you get.

My trout was a very good sized portion. At least 6oz I believe. If not more. And I love that they prepare it medium rare. So many places cook their fish well done bcuz they’re afraid someone will get sick maybe, but this place clearly trusts their food source, preparation, and quality. It was buttery soft and well seasoned. The garlic chips and micro greens on top were great as well as the sauce. Came with carmelized cabbage on the side, a generous portion. So well seasoned and soft enough to cut with a butter knife but still a little crunch to it. Perfect texture. I could see how someone might want a starch to go with the meal, tho. Some kind of potato or grain. I was more than full by the end thanks to the two appetizers before it. But I could see how if you didn’t get apps, you *may* find the dish lacking a little. But honestly it was SO delicious.

My partner really enjoyed his linguini aragosta. I tried a bite and it was very flavorful. Good amount of lobster too.

I’m not a huge dessert person but it was my partner’s birthday so they give you a complimentary dessert. We went with the chocolate bundino and WOW. I expected to take a bite and be done bcuz I don’t really have a sweet tooth but I think I ended up eating more than he did! I would go back just for the dessert.

Our drinks were great too, and again arrived quickly. My small complaint about that is that I don’t think they listed the drink prices for those on the menu but I could fully expect to be wrong on that. I looked around but didn’t look that hard. I know some places do that and I’ll never understand why. I saw prices for the wine and non alcoholic drinks but I didn’t see the cocktail prices. Again, could have possibly missed them tho.

Before tip, and with the dessert being complimentary, after taxes our total came out to $201 and change. Again that’s for: 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 4 drinks. And everything was quality and well portioned.

There are cheaper things on the menu than we got but there are also more expensive things. Just like with most menus. So your experience will vary.

I truly enjoyed the whole experience. I would say the music was a little loud, which is why I take one star off for atmosphere. But not unbearable. So otherwise, this place exceeded my expectations. To be fair I went in pretty wary bcuz of some reviews, but I have to say I didn’t experience any of those issues during my visit.

I’d give it 4.5 stars. We’ll be back!

Brought my wife on a dinner date since she loves seafood. The reservations were made a couple of hours before, which was reasonable. We were greeted by four hostesses at the entrance, and we were seated by one of them to our table. The atmosphere was not bad, just a little loud with the music and everyone talking. It took a little while for our waitress to attend us,
But she was friendly and had a positive attitude. After bringing two water bottles. It took a while for her to come back and take the order, and it also took a little longer to get the food to our table. The clam chowder was not bad. it could’ve been thickened a little bit more. The red snapper I ordered was decent, but nothing that was phenomenal. Portion wise for the price, I felt it was overpriced. Plus, the lobster claw and tail we’re just average came with lemon and cocktail sauce, like any other seafood restaurant. If I could, I would give it three and a half stars overall on my experience.

Dessert: Apple Fig coffeecake with Toffee brule. Went well with my double espresso !
Starters. Fried whole class, escargot in pasta, beef caparicio with truffle. I had the hot lobster roll. The clams were the best. Thought I was in Gloucester MA. Service by Stephanie was most helpful. Very attentive but not overbearing. Saturday afternoon was not busy at all. Only 4 other people. Later 2 arrived. Pricey but so fresh and well prepared Seafood. ..Definitely worth it. My 2nd time there. I’ll go again.

Growing up in Boston, it’s very very hard to find whole belly fried clams. They had one place in Chicago that we used to go to, but they closed down. I was pretty much giving up. It was my husband‘s birthday yesterday, and I was googling seafood places, and happened to come across this hidden gem. I was looking on the menu and low and behold… I saw New England fried whole belly clams. I almost jumped out of my pants. I couldn’t believe it. I said to my husband we’re going here, let’s go. The ambience here was absolutely amazing! The light made out of clam shells was so beautiful. Of course, we ordered the fried clams, clam chowder, King crab lasagna roll, And a lobster pizza. The food was so good! Brought me back to my childhood living in Boston. It would be awesome if you could get the bigger clams, although they were very very good… in Boston they have the huge whole belly clams. Please keep these on the menu. The service was awesome! My husband even got a free slice of pie with gelato ice cream. As we left, they gave us some free cookies. Next time we go here, we will try the lobster roll. The deli was pretty good looking as well. Thank you for opening up this fantastic restaurant. We will be back many times❤️

Great environment inside and out, incredible dishes and the most accommodating, gracious staff. We’ve been going to Hardware for years but now glad to have a seafood – and pizza, when you need a slice – destination. Can’t say enough good things about Fortunato!

A good spot to get a fresh seafood dinner with a variety of upscale options. My major complaint is that fresh oasters have to be bought in a minimum of a dozen and cannot be split between different varieties unless you buy four of each variety. My wife doesn’t eat oasters so we had to pass on getting any at all, which was a bummer. I highly recommend they loosen their limits on oasters. I think they’d sell more overall this way.

The service was slow and did not check in enough. Resulted in my wife not receiving a glass of white wine with her dinner.

I just tried Fortunato and their food was amazing. Walking in we were greeted and our server Jackie was very friendly and knowledgeable of the food. Portions were perfect! I had the turbot and loved it. It was light and savory. Every drink on their menu can be canned to go! We ordered their gelato and watched a lady make the lemon ricotta tart! Their seafood is fresh, we ordered the king crab with morel mushrooms. They just opened their deli and we stopped in to see what they have. Their whole staff was so friendly and smiled. You can’t beat this service, also very knowledgeable of their products. I walked with fresh pasta and their pasta sauce with focaccia bread with a garlic and Parmesan olive oil for the bread! Can’t wait to try more on their menu, I totally recommend this place. You will love how fresh the food is and having worked in retail, all the employees there represented their restaurant incredibly well. They have space for private parties as well come try out this great place!
