This is a restaurant which is open to all in the Alyeska resort. We had a really really nice time here. The ambience was so on point with the views of the mountains. The service was impeccable and the food tasted really good. We went in without checking the Google ratings and we are thankful for that. The halibut was great, so was the mushroom pizza. I highly recommend this place.

Got the prosciutto arugula pizza and it was INCREDIBLE! Service was wonderful and enjoyed beautiful views of the Alyeska grounds. Definitely try their sorbet or ice cream at the end! Very affordable for the quality.

A nice, quiet spot for lunch. Service was pretty quick and the food was very well prepared. I would highly recommend the Vegan Kale Caesar, which had Chickpea “croutons” that were delicious. The Margherita Pizza was another favorite, with a crust that had an amazing texture and fresh cheese.

We ate here twice in the two days we were in Girdwood. The kale salad is amazing, we got it to share both days. The gluten free pizza crust is to die for. Really the best I’ve ever had. My fiancé said the pappardelle and cod were fantastic! The ambiance gives and it feels like the perfect place to relax. Not to mention we had amazing servers both days too – Jared and Mia. We’ll be back!

We went to this restaurant because the other one we had chosen was closed even though the website said it was open. We were seated and served water then waited probably 10 minutes before a server even asked if we were ready to order. There were 4 of us. 1 ordered the meatball appetizer, 1 ordered shrimp scampi appetizer, 1 ordered a chicken sandwich and 1 burger. Everything but the chicken sandwich came out then about 10 minutes later the chicken sandwich arrived. Needless to say everyone was almost finished with their food by the time the chicken arrived. The meatballs were hardly even warm, the burger was undercooked, the scampi had some kind of tomato salsa looking stuff on them. The chicken sandwich had some gross looking and tasting tomatoes on it and the bread was hard a a rock. Hardly worth the $32 it cost. Our total bill was over $100 with only 2 beers, a water and a coke. We will not be returning to Forte. Ever. And from the looks of the uneaten food on other peoples plates we saw, it doesn’t look like many others will be returning either. Do yourself a favor and eat in town.
