They have created a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Someone definitely knew what they were doing when setting the place and how music should be play. The music was setup to be in the background and it definitely was. You can have a conver without having to raise your voice and still enjoy the music. That being said, i was very decepionted on my “BBQ Spare Ribs”. It definitely was not falling of the bones. I was struggling using a knife on it. My original plain was to order the “NY Stripes Steak”, when I saw the “BBQ Spare Ribs” on the menu, I changed my mind. That was a bad mistake. Two couples where seating in front of me and the had ordered  the “NY Stripes Steak” and they were praising it. Maybe the had a bad day with the Ribs when I was there.  I would give then a second chance if I  happen to be in town again. But, I stay away from the Ribs.

Yeah, NO CARDS.

Cozy spot. Always busy but service is great. Everything is homemade on site. Prices are great… Fyi cash only place. Prime rib is my fav here. Portions are plentiful.

Nothing good going on here. Service was terrible, for the most part we were ignored. Sat ourselves, had to stop the waitress to place our order, asked for a beverage refill (never got it), had to stop her to get the check. Left cash on the table and we were gone.
Next, the food. We both ordered the onion soup. Watered down, canned soup with BJs croutons tossed about, a smidge of rubbery cheese on top. I ordered the Ethan Allen and it was horrific! Toaster oven sandwich with way too much WARMED mayo on it. Honestly, a 12 yr old could do better. Overall, it was gross.
As far as the atmosphere goes, this was most concerning. We sat by the window to avail ourselves of the view, but most of it was obliterated by the overgrown trees & shrubs. There are 2 tables that allow for a view and neither were available. The windows are framed with OLD silk flowers that have small bugs crawling through them. I dropped my keys on the floor, upon retrieving noticed the baseboards. Old food from days gone by stained and stuck to them. Awful, truly awful! Made the mistake of using the ladies room before we left. Imagine the worst gas station bathroom you’ve ever walked into and you got this place.
Must say, the only reason we stayed is because we had been driving for hours and were exhausted. Avoid this place, not worth the level of disgust you will have upon leaving.

Food great…prices great! Its worth a stop even though it looks a certain way on the outside. The whole place though has this odd smell. Everything was great minus that. I would say stop!

Stopped in for the view—absolutely worth it, stunning scenery all around. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t match the backdrop. The New York strip was underwhelming (think microwave, not grill), though the fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce had some charm. Best bets? The fries and grilled cheese. Service was friendly, cash only, but overall the dining didn’t justify the price. Go for the view, maybe the sandwiches—skip the steak.

2 couples went for lunch and all had salads. Food was decent, beverages were cold and tasty, service was good. The place could use a real significant cleaning or maybe even a renovation. Good view of the fort.

Stopped here during my bike tour from NYC to Montreal for a bite to re-energize. Very nice staff, got unlimited water refills, and the food was great! Very bike friendly, and a great price! They accept cash only, and it is right off the Empire State Trail! Highly recommend for cyclists going through the trail!
