Some of the best food around Fort. The burnt ends had a nice touch as an app with the sliced jalapeños.

The only dish that was a miss was the pulled pork mac & cheese.

The service was quick and pleasant. We’ll be back!

Very cozy, excellent food selection including their specialty pizza.
Friendly accommodating staff.
Can be excellent for taking a date but I’ve went with my sisters and with my son for a nice lunch.
I love some of their food options including pasta dishes pizza burgers and the best mushroom soup I ever had. I wish the mushroom soup was available every day.
All in all ..a great place for lunch or dinner.

There are typically only two reasons I take the time to leave a review—either the service is truly exceptional or it falls short. Unfortunately, this experience was the latter.

We decided to try this restaurant for the first time on Valentine’s Day. We arrived around 5:00 p.m. and were seated right away, which was a great start. However, we then waited 10–15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, despite several servers walking past our table. While the restaurant was busy, it wasn’t so overwhelming that someone couldn’t have at least said, “I’ll be with you shortly.”

When our server eventually came to the table, she spoke very quietly and had minimal interaction with us. She took our drink order and quickly left without discussing any daily specials or asking if we’d like to start with an appetizer. It also felt like a long wait for four drinks, especially considering only one was a beer.

Our appetizer arrived promptly and was very good. However, there was a significant wait for our entrées. During that time, our server did not check in on us or ask if we needed anything, even though she passed by our table a few times. The nachos had good flavor, but it was clear our food had not been brought out immediately—our French fries were not hot when served and cooled off very quickly.

I had high hopes that this would become a new go-to spot for us, but the overall service was disappointing. I understand it was Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was full, but it did not appear overwhelmingly busy. A bit more attentiveness and care would have made a big difference in our experience. Unfortunately, based on this visit, we do not plan to return.

Place was decorated nicely and smelled like a smokehouse but the food and service was awful. Ribs were on the smoker for probably 3 hours to long. Dry dry dry to the point I tasted a small piece and sent it away to the server who lacked a personality or any form of customer service. Also got the brisket and that was dry as a bone, even found a nice grey hair to wrap up our great experience. Won’t be back to say the least.

This was our first visit. We saw the sign on the highway and it sounded good. Between the 2if is we had brisket sandwich, burnt ends and Brussel sprouts. The cut of meat was very good quality. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic!

My husband and I ordered a bunch of food for pick up that we wanted to try. We’ve had this place a couple other times in the past 5 years and it was always hit or miss. This time it was very disappointing. The food is wayy over priced for the quality and taste that you get. The brisket sandwich had an off taste to it I think it was the oil they grilled the bread with or something, but I only took a couple of bites and couldn’t eat anymore of it. The waffle fries were ok. The cheese curds were extremely tough to chew, almost like rubber and super dense. The homemade ranch was good. The smokehouse mac & cheese was pretty good out of everything we ordered. My husbands meat sampler was dry and didnt have much flavor, and the cowboy beans tasted like canned beans warmed up the microwave. Overall we are very disappointed with our experience this time and we won’t be going back.

It was quiet on a Saturday afternoon and a good time to bring the kids. The pulled chicken was dry, pulled pork was juicy, and the brisket was tender and fatty in a good way. The kid’s chicken tenders were fantastic, but the amount of fries was small for my daughter.

The BBQ sauces seemed very similar: regular and spicy. I would have liked something funky or fun to try on the meat. The cornbread muffin had a unique fluffiness to it that I liked.

Common Sense
The service was great. The greeter was polite. She seated us immediately. The waiter was polite and courteous. She was very familiar with the menu and gave us some good suggestions. We decided to have the 2 meat combo. We chose the brisket and ribs. The brisket was dry and tasted some what old. (but this is from someone who doesn’t like brisket) my wife felt the same. The ribs are kind of hard to describe. They were not shaped like a normal slab of ribs. They were boneless, dark covered in what I believe my have been a rub and shaped like a triangle. Overall, the service was impeccable. But I believe they need to hire a new pit master.

My husband and I went here for dinner for the first time and I can say it’s also the last time we will be there. We got seated right away but didn’t get set with silverware. I ordered the ribeye and it was all fat the green beans were very oily and the potatoes were too salty to even eat. I had to pick and my salad with my fingers because our server was no where to be found. My husband got the brisket Mac and cheese and it was very bland we also got the chips and queso app to share. The cheese dip was bland and had no flavor he also ordered the butterbeer and that took ten minutes just to get to our table and I would totally understand if they were busy but they weren’t. Needless to say we weren’t impressed and will not be coming back..

Loved it. Ordered the 3 meat sampler. The overall flavor was excellent and the price was very fair given the portions. The BBQ sauces were also all amazing. They serve their pulled meat plain so you can add your own sauce; the meat alone is not very flavorful, you’ll need that BBQ. Brisket was great with just some salt.

The service was outstanding! Very friendly and attentive staff.

The one thing we found was different was that they serve their cornbread cold so it doesn’t dry out, but ironically because it was cold it felt dry. It was a super easy fix thought, the server was very nice and brought us additional, warm cornbread and it was fluffy and delicious! So if you like your cornbread warm and soft, just ask for it when ordering.
Would drive the 45min from Madison again to come here.
