Forno Rosso gives that authentic, wood fired, straight from Italy energy. The pizza options are actually interesting (not just basic pepperoni). I got the Veneto pizza. While it was a bit dry for my taste, the ingredients were super fresh and high quality. Adding some spicy oil definitely helped bring it together. The beet salad was elite and chef’s kiss. The strawberry martini was dangerously good. I am obsessed with the tiramisu here which is actually one of the best I’ve had. I would go back just for that. Customer service was okay. I spilled a little of my drink and when I asked for napkins they handed me a wet rag and I ended up wiping the table myself like okay teamwork I guess? They do have really nice outdoor seating when the weather’s good, which is a vibe.

Pizza was okay (veggies were fresh, satisfying amount of cheese) but nothing spectacular for the price and size. Disappointed that the menu doesn’t have many vegetarian options – I’m sure you could request to hold the meat but then you’re overpaying for something you’re not receiving. Wish they had exclusively vegetarian pizzas that were priced accordingly (beyond the Ortalana or Margherita – any version of the latter is boring). I ordered to go but the inside looks cute and I’m sure the patio in the summer is nice. The staff were friendly.

Taste is super good. Friends and I got prosciutto, tre carne, and marg. Tre carne was super wet but apparently this is how Italian pizza is supposed to be (it did not take away from the flavor).
The pizzas were large, friends had plenty of leftovers. Service was super nice. Not many tables though but wasnt an issue.

Great dough! Love their thin crust pizza! And their tomato sauce. Gnocci was very good! They also definitely know how to pick their wine! Their white wine were excellent

Only had 5hr layover in Chicago. Not a fan of the famous deep dish pies. More so a big fan of fire oven, classics, all fresh & natural ingredients. I chose the Ortolana, a Lemoncello Margarietta. Absolutely phenomenal! Wasn’t disappointed and glad I spent my short time in Chicago enjoying ourside on thier deck, the food, my drinks and great service from my waiter. He is very attentive to all his customers. A great evening all to myself! I highly recommend and can also say, that pizza IS the best! Texture, color in the undercarriage. The cheese maintains that ooze as it cools & it’s flavor. The flavors of the herbs & veggies popped and I forgot I didn’t ask for Pepperoni. That was on me. However, I didn’t notice or care. I loved it just as it was! A lovely atmosphere. Something I would return to if given the opportunity.

Wow – some of the best Neapolitan-style pizza I’ve had! The white sauce pizzas here really let the flavors shine. The Pistachio is uniquely rich, and the Primavera is another standout, topped with spicy peppers that add a satisfying kick. Don’t miss the spicy olive oil, which adds an extra layer of heat to your pizza.
Service could be a bit more attentive, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. The space is modern and lively, though it can get a bit loud. Overall, still an enjoyable dinner with very solid pizza!

We came in just a minute after they have already closed the kitchen. Our little one was super disappointed as she have waited patiently for us to wrap up work in the evening. The owner kindly allowed us to seat and re-opened the kitchen and it truly made our day. The pizza was top notch as always, and the kindness just make this our favorite pizza place!

By far, the best gluten-free crust I’ve ever had and I have been too many places around the states, but not Italy yet. The second best I’ve had is in Miami in another restaurant that looks very similar. I was only in Chicago for a week for work but came here twice during my stay to try two different types of pizza. A meat and a pistachio pesto, as well as the appetizer with prosciutto and buffalo as well as salad. Everything was a 10/10.
The service is great, the waiters and staff are very helpful and cute. Highly recommend to anyone gluten free as well as regular people. I’m sure that pizza is even better.
Only feedback is that the spritzes were not that strong usually if I have two of those, I’m pretty buzzed but was totally sober unfortunately.
If I return to Chicago, this is my first stop after my hotel.

This was my first time at Forno Rosso for gluten-free pizza and it tasted exactly how pizza should! The consistency and flavor of the crust was outstanding-I still can’t believe it was gluten-free. The toppings were also high-quality and delicious- we had the Reginella and the Ortolana. They have a house made chili oil that was the perfect compliment to both our red and white pizzas. Great wine list as well- Sangiovese paired perfectly with the chili oil we drizzled on our pizzas. Can’t wait to go back!
