Stopped in for a quick bite and tried the 10-inch woodfired pizzas. Overall, it was solid—definitely a thumbs up for a decent crust. The dough had a nice texture, and the pizzas were consistent across the board. Flavor-wise, I’d put it somewhere around a 4-star experience. Not mind-blowing, but definitely satisfying.

They’ve got some foodie cred too—looks like Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives paid them a visit in 2019, iIt’s definitely better than most of the pizza we’ve had in Alaska.

Worth checking out if you’re in town and craving pizza. Take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself!

Was my first time here, I’m actually writing this in the parking lot. I absolutely loved it ! It’s family owned and operated which I adore and I was greeted by two lovely people that made awesome suggestions!
I got the fireball pizza and an Italian Soda which was sparkling water, cream and blueberry flavoring !! And then went back and got another Italian Soda which was raspberry
The Pizza was amazing !! The best I’ve had in a very long time perfectly Italian and perfectly Alaskan all at the same time !!

We were excited to try the pizza at Forno Rosso’s food truck but came away with a lackluster experience. I had the Fireball with pepperoni, reindeer sausage, and jalapeños. The pizza was good, not great, with a little bite from the jalapeño and a nice meat contrast. The crust was super thin which I generally love, but the edges were thick and the ingredients didn’t cover enough of the dough to create the robust bite we were looking for. My partner got the pepperoni and he ate it up quickly saying that it tasted pretty good but that there weren’t enough toppings and he was still hungry after he finished. I, too, wasn’t fulfilled by the 10” pie and I’m usually a two slice and out kind of pizza eater! We paid $33 for both pizzas and just didn’t think we got our money’s worth. We might have liked it better if we had a beer in the neighboring Alaska Brewery, but then, everything tastes better with a beer!
The service was great and the atmosphere was fine- we ate in our truck in the parking lot! Hate to say it, but probably won’t return.

I’m being generous and giving them 3 stars. Pizza is ok. Pricing is completely unreasonable. $36 for two pizzas (one just cheese and one reindeer). Each served on a paper 10” plate out of a small food truck. They are basically taking advantage of being located next to Alaska brewing company. My advice is to stick to the Devils Hideaway food truck if you are hungry. At least their food will fill you up. My 6 year old ate an entire Forno Rosso pizza by herself and was still hungry. I had to go order her some fries. Definitely not worth the price. Pizza very thin with thick crust. Not filling or satisfying.

As being one who has enjoyed pizza all around the world. Their pizza is delicious, I highly recommend it as it is traditional Italian pie with few toppings.

Recently discovered this spot. The pizza is super yummy. Well cooked and not super saucey (which I prefer). It is a bit greasey but not too bad. The taste and cook more than make up for it. The size is of a pie is good for either a single person or to share with another. Great spot to grab a bite!

A Slice of Neapolitan Heaven on Wheels!!!

I highly recommend the mouthwatering delights served up by Forno Rosso, a food truck that specializes in authentic Neapolitan-style pizza.

One of the standout features of Forno Rosso is their unwavering commitment to quality ingredients. Each pizza is crafted with care, using only the finest ingredients available.

The wood oven used by Forno Rosso is a game-changer. The pizzas emerge from the oven with a perfectly charred and blistered crust, creating a delightful contrast of textures. The smoky aroma that wafts from the truck is enough to make any pizza lover weak at the knees.

What truly sets Forno Rosso apart is their ability to deliver exceptional pizza from a food truck. The limited space and resources of a mobile kitchen can often be a challenge, but Forno Rosso has mastered the art of creating a Neapolitan masterpiece on wheels. The efficiency and skill displayed by this husband and wife duo is truly commendable.

I cannot recommend Forno Rosso enough. Whether you’re a pizza aficionado or simply someone who appreciates good food, this food truck is a must-try. The combination of their commitment to quality ingredients, the magic of their wood oven, and the sheer deliciousness of their pizzas make Forno Rosso a standout in the food truck scene.

Authentic Italian Neapolitan pizza with a personal Alaskan spin on it. High quality ingredients and when they can they always source local. Their gluten free pizza crust is the best in town. The way their fresh dough combines with everything else is amazing. They are also a kind family who go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy. Not only do they have gluten free but they also have dairy free cheeses.
