I had a great dinner here Saturday night. The atmosphere is warm and lively but not too loud. The bar has several TV’s with various sports on.
The food was excellent. I had the French Onion soup to start and the heritage pork chop for my dinner. The soup was definitely made with care. It has large homemade croutons, lots of flavor and perfect cheese. It pulls but isn’t plasticy. The pork chop was tender and cooked perfectly. It was topped with mango chutney that gave it a nice sweetness but it wasn’t over powering. Dinner also came with obviously home made mashed potatoes and a generous amount of fresh asparagus cooked just right.
Service was great. It was very busy but the staff worked well as a team. The manager/hostess would check in and take care of me when my waitress was busy. I never felt forgotten or ignored.
I look forward to coming back leaving room for some of the amazing desserts I saw going out!

I went here on a busy Thursday. I was greeted by a super friendly hostess who made sure to find us a table. The server had a great attitude as well. I ordered the fried calamari. They were excellent. Light and not rubbery. Had a burger that was cooked to my liking. Unfortunately the fries were cold. The bill was wrong, but no problems as they quickly fixed it. Great place. I will be back. They recently opened and I am looking forward to watch them grow.

Wow! What a great place. I spoke with the owners, Karen and Mike (in first pic), and they have gone to great lengths to renovate what was a 100 year old local restaurant. They knocked it out of the park! Menu has a little bit of everything and our group tried several dishes. All were exceptional. Cocktails were good and the service on point. If you’re looking for a great place that checks off all the boxes, this is it.

We went to Forest Edge tonight and had an outstanding meal.
From the moment the fresh bread hit the table, you could tell this wasn’t average. Everything was prepared with care. The seafood was cooked perfectly — not overdone, not rushed — just right. Even something simple like the kids’ butter pasta had that extra touch that made it better than expected.
I travel for work and eat at some very good spots in NYC and elsewhere. Forest Edge easily holds its own. This was a five-star experience in both quality and execution.
Highly recommend. Definitely call ahead.

We weren’t in the place 30 seconds and the owner was questioning us about our service dog. Dog clearly was wearing a vest saying service dog and didn’t go near anyone. His girlfriend Karen then asked for proof that he was a service dog. They clearly need to brush up on service dog etiquette.
We sat at a table and our service dog sat at our feet never moving and without incident like he always does. French onion soup was alright but our sandwiches bland. Waitress was excellent and very nice. Do not recommend. Owner is rude, made us feel unwelcome, overpriced draft beer ($6.00 for a Miller light) and food just average. I preferred it when it was the Cuckoo’s Nest.

It was the first night, so service was only SLIGHTLY slow, but completely reasonable. I got the Smokey Mike special (drink), followed by a Whiskey Sour and finally, The Heritage Pork Chop. The Mango chutney was PERFECTION in the pork! I felt the garlic mashed potatoes could have had more garlic (but I like extra garlic). The Smokey Mike from start to finish smelled and tasted Smokey- I almost chugged it, it was so good!
