It was just a wonderful experience at Forest Buffet. With less than $40 per person I can’t tell that much big difference compares to Caesars Palace at Las Vegas. Server was always there cleaning your empty&dirty plates… I’ll be back!

Visited friends in Tahoe and they took us here for the Friday night seafood buffet. Our friends get a local discount which makes the buffet a very reasonable price.
We waited in line for 15 minutes to pay and be seated. The restaurant is very large and seats a lot of people. We mainly came here for the all you can eat crab legs and shrimp. You can’t find a better seafood buffet in Tahoe. Service is phenomenal.

Okay, the views are great but that’s it. You’re paying for the view because as far as the food and the selection on the buffet, it’s barely average and not different from what you’d find on any all you can eat buffet, in fact this one offers fewer items than what I was expecting. I was there for a Sunday dinner and there was no steak, no shrimp or crab legs, not a good selection of fruits, no Asian food, no Mexican food… If you are expecting a great buffet, go somewhere else, if you want the views and the experience then this is a good place.

The views are spectacular – the staff was so friendly and accommodating. I asked for window seating and they made certain to find me the perfect view 🙂 The brunch buffet had plenty to offer as it included prime rib – yummy! Very reasonable pricing and wonderful service it call this a win win!

I am a local and love this place, the food is wonderful, the deserts are great but not as good a selection as there use to be. Of course I have lived here nearly 20 years so you have to expect things to change. The thing I miss the most is the Chinese ribs, oh my gosh they were to die for, I would give a 5 star if they brought them back. And really for what you pay they could afford it. Do I recommend this place, yes I do.

Super overpriced and gross food. Desserts tasted like Vaseline and non of the food was cooked properly. Service was horrendous. They made an elderly couple and some customers with disabilities wait for such a long time. They put so much preference for diamond members. You could get so much value for your money literally anywhere else but here.
