When I go to Forest, I make sure to get there 30 minutes early just to line up…I’m that obsessed. I love grabbing all my favorites and heading home for a little feast. I’m lactose intolerant, but for Forest, I indulge at least once a month. Everything is just that good. As a croissant lover, I can confidently say these are the best I’ve ever had…they melt in your mouth. I haven’t had a single bad thing here!

Easily one of the best bakeries in metro detroit. The staff is helpful, friendly and efficient. All the pastries taste freshly made (they are) and you can taste each ingredient. Its pricey, but of high quality.

My favorite go to bakery. There hasn’t been a single item I have gotten that I have not truly enjoyed. You can tell that the owners and the staff truly care about the bakery and the product it delivers to its customers. Highly recommend stopping in and giving anything they have a try!

I had an exceptional experience here. Very kind and lovely staff/owners. Smells amazing. It was interesting to see parts of the process of hand made products vs the industrial manufactured food. I definitely recommend any and all to visit this establishment to enjoy all that is there

This bakery is absolutely fantastic! Everything you buy is always fresh, delicious, and made with care. Their savory and sweet pastries are both top notch. You really can’t go wrong with anything you buy there. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and clearly take pride in what they do. It’s the kind of place that instantly brightens your day every time you visit. Highly recommend!

I read the review in Metro Times and been wanting to stop by to check this place out. It is rare for me to be around here during their limited hours and read they sell out early. We arrived around Noon today and they were pretty cleaned out. Fortunately they had one chocolate croissant left and knew we had to have one of those based on the review and also got the coffee cake for our second item planing to split them both. Oh my. The croissant may have been the best I have had outside Paris, light flakey and buttery. Perfect. The coffee cake was also superb. The women running this bakery clearly have a special talent. If bakery treats are your thing I highly recommend trying Forest Bakery. They are only open Thursday through Saturday and open at 10:00. Get there early cause they close when they run out and from what we saw they can run out pretty early!

I stopped in to grab a quick snack for breakfast this morning. Upon walking in I was just struck by the very cuteness of it all, the vibes were immaculate (as the kids say ). I ordered a coffee and a butter croissant. I LOVE a croissant, and always have high hopes – but more often than not I’m let down by an underwhelming bite. So, imagine my delight as I bit into the flakiest, most wonderfully textured pastry I’ve had in a very long time. The outside was crispy, virtually exploding like a tree struck by lightening (evidence provided of my shirt post-snack), and the inside was soft and perfectly chewy. It was a great way to start the day!

Showed up shortly after they opened to a long line around the corner!! The baked goods options were impressive. The hot dog danish was so creative and amazingly executed. Goat cheese tomato savory galette was one of my favorite bites. This is a must go spot!! Instagram: @funas_eats_it

This place is so cute! An hour before they closed they were out of everything but two things, so I got those two things and they were both excellent. Black sesame tahini cake and soup. The soup was served over yoghurt with dill, which lent a delightful brightness to the dish.
I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
