Easy place to get to right off the highway. Casual atmosphere. Food was okay nothing great (mussels, pan fried haddock, broiled haddock, strawberry salad ).

Outdoor seating area needs weeding and cleaning, long delay for our drink order but food came quickly. Reubens were good but all the meat was rolled up in the middle of the sandwich..would be great if evenly distributed for whole sandwich. Pricing seemed average for pub setting. Indoor dinning looks very nice. Bathrooms are in desperate need of care… Moisture problem is very apparent with wallpaper rippling everywhere plus the smell of mold/mildew .. Toilet and sink were clean.

What a gem we found on the road! Casual atmosphere with good vibes but comfortable and not tacky.

Mom (94 y.o.) and I went there for a late lunch on Tuesday, 6/20. We went to the bar area, which would have been jamming had it been earlier than our 1:15 (or so) arrival. So, we were able to get a low 4-top table near the over hanging hockey stick. Jesse was the bartender for the afternoon, I had never been served by Jesse before (I have been to FTSB perhaps 5 times, mom maybe 2 times) in the last 2 years. Well, Jesse has personality++.

I had the pan fried haddock. It was delicious. Bartender waited on us. She was good but the hosttess didn’t have much of a personality. Will definitely go back.

Food was slow…30 min just to place order, despite having a reservation and arriving on time. Space was cramped. Service was inattentive. Background noise was so loud I couldn’t hear my business guests from Europe and had to guess what they were saying. Food was good but it was so slow to come, guests were irritated and it made little difference. Will not return.

Had dinner reservations & we were seated promptly and drinks brought promptly. A bit busy and noisy…but it was Saturday. Food came in a good time frame. It all tasted good. Things were cooked properly. The veggies were drenched in way too much butter and could not be finished. I wish I had my salad dressing on the side. The waiter was very hyper and that may have contributed. Dessert was excellent! Generally a nice meal.

We were here with family for an early dinner. I had the fried haddock dinner, my husband had the pan fried haddock. My haddock was perfectly cooked, fresh, light and flaky. Both meals were very very good. We will be back!

This was a disappointment from the start to finish. Started with hostess seating us at a dirty table. Followed by waiting for 13 min for a server to ever come to the table. Only to be surprised our waiter was actually the guy that walked by us at least 4 times not even acknowledging us or any form of communication Asked could we start with cleaning the table to which the response was oh its just a little chip. Wow really actually its sticky and sorry I’m bothering you because i don’t want to sit at someone else’s trash. While sitting there we noticed how the hostess actually just put menus on the tables and walking away before guests ever made it to the table. Also how two other tables in our servers section had empty drinks and it was after us that he finally checked on them. Not to mention him serving another table salads but no silverware in sight. I could see if the place was swamped but it wasn’t even hardly busy. We finally get drinks and ask him if the calamari had tentacles or just rings and was it good because it was our first time here. He claimed yes it was his favorite and that it was only rings. Im not sure where Todd learned to serve tables at but when bringing appetizer plates to the table and as you start to set one down and it has black pepper or whatever on it you dont pull it back up and clean it off with your thumb in front of your guest. WTH thats gross and thanks i wont be touching that plate at all. When the calamari came to the table immediately knew Todd was clueless because in fact it was tentacles. It was almost inedible not because it it was overcooked but because of how salty it was. Tasted like overused old bay and half a shaker of salt was used as seasoning. The redeeming quality todd did was once we ordered the reuben sandwich to share he did bring an extra plate and ketchup for the fries before our food was served. As for the reuben again salt was the main flavor. If it had thousand island dressing we couldn’t taste it also the sauerkraut was pretty much only on one half of the sandwich. Which i don’t mind to much because its not my favorite flavor. Bar food is bar food but this isnt even that good and the restaurant claims to be a gastro pub not even close. Wont recommend to anyone and wont be back. We both did get a good laugh at the beginning as we waited for service chatting about the comical sign reminding customers to a 90min table limit does that take into account your slower then snail service or do people generally get fed up and just leave to find better food and service elsewhere. Thank you for responding to my review and now it makes sense why todd doesnt pay attention because management doesnt either. We asked about tentacles because my bf prefers calamari with them. We got them regardless of being told they were not included but also prefer them overcooked until the next state is dust. And if it was his second shift what a poor company he works for that would leave him to his own devices instead of properly training him. I do not apologize for preferring food that tastes as it should and not like I’m licking a salt block
