I ordered the bison burger with mushrooms. The burger itself was okay, but it seemed to lack flavor and didn’t stand out the way I expected. The fries were decent, but nothing special.
Overall, the food was just average. For a restaurant with such a strong theme and reputation for burgers, I expected a bit more flavor. Next time, I probably would try the steak instead
Food: I had the oil funnel onion rings and they were pretty good. The Estate Burger was off the charts great – cooked perfectly, full of flavor, obviously fresh.
I got the Old Fashioned Burnout which was great and had a smokeshow which is cool.
We are waiting for our dessert and I’m sure it’ll be great too.
My son got to hong the “Aooogah” horn on the car suspended over the bar which made him happy too.
I live about 45 min away and occasionally have to come to Plano. Now I have a reason not to groan when I have to come out this way. Thanks!
I did feel a bit guilty parking my Tacoma in front of 35 Ford signs, but oh well I’m Toyota for life.
The staff was warm and friendly, and honestly, that was the highlight of our visit.
My wife ordered a burger on a gluten-free bun. The presentation looked great—the patty was massive—but unfortunately, the flavor didn’t live up to the size. Big burger, small taste.
She also ordered chicken wings. The exterior had a nice char and was coated in a tangy-sweet BBQ sauce that looked promising. Inside, though, the chicken was fatty. At least it wasn’t dry—but that’s a low bar.
I ordered the tomato basil soup. Most restaurants serve soup hot; this one did not. The server warned me that the plate was very hot, but failed to mention how cold the soup itself was. In hindsight, I should’ve known—earlier I asked for hot water and received something barely warm. I understand the restaurant has burn concerns, but if waivers are an option, I’ll sign one. Hot food should be hot. The soup was reheated (clearly microwaved) and returned. To be fair, the flavor and seasoning were good.
The biggest disappointment, however, was my salad. The greens were mushy, and the chicken—despite looking nicely grilled—was stringy, tough, and unpleasant to chew. Appearance clearly matters more here than execution.
In the end, this place nails the garage aesthetic but misses the mark on the food. It’s a good spot for an oil change—not so much for a memorable meal.
My husband is a huge Ford guy so he was just like a kid in a candy shop here. So much nostalgia so much ambiance an absolute must if you have never been.
The food is great as well as the drink and beer selection, but the thing that stood out the most was our server Parker.
Most the time when you go to a restaurant. The servers are friendly and attentive, but Parker was more than that. He engaged in conversation and recommendations, We literally wanted him to sit down and have dinner with us. He is an absolute asset to your establishment. And he single-handedly made our experience go from a good one to a spectacularly, Great one!
Friend had the American cheeseburger and it looked a lot better than my patty melt. He said the fries were great.
I’m sure I’ll be back though
But I love the concept! The historical Ford vehicles and memorabilia. There’s an old Ford model that is placed above the bar, which blows out fog from its exhaust and toots its horn for birthday celebrations! There are classic engines on engine stands posted throughout the restaurant. I really dig it! It’s a Ford guy’s kind of restaurant!
The atmosphere is cool too! I went on a Saturday night around 6. There was a 15-20 minute wait, so I just went to the bar. The bar was cool! It has this really neat lighted chill strip you can put your drinks on to keep them cool. Had a chat with one of the bar patrons. It’s a good kind of vibe. Conversations abound, but it’s not so loud that you have to lean in close, or shout at each other.
The wait staff is friendly and helpful. I had the Estate Burger with fries, Dr Pepper and finished it all with a Key Lime pie! Food was good. The offerings here are pretty straight forward. American food with a slight premium twist. I felt like there Estate Burger has a little too much garnishment on it. The red onion marmalade, bacon Aoli, and gouda cheese kinda tasted like conflicting flavors and overwhelmed the taste of the burger. However the fries were perfect! Crisp, and lightly salted. And i instantly loved the Key Lime pie! It feels this great , sweet lime flavor too it! My kind of restaurant! Definitely coming back!
You know what? Automotive themed restaurants are an experience i didn’t know I was lacking!
