We visited Ford’s Garage in Novi late in the evening and really enjoyed the experience, though it did take some time to get our food. Making a reservation is definitely recommended to avoid waiting, as we walked in and had to give our names and wait to be called.
This Ford auto-themed restaurant beautifully combines a love for cars with delicious cuisine. The decor is a car enthusiast’s dream, from vintage memorabilia and sleek automotive art to car parts cleverly integrated into utensils, napkin rings, and even the restrooms, where the sinks are tires and the door handles are gas pumps. Dozens of little details, like radiator hose clamps holding napkins, make the theme fun without being tacky.
Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the atmosphere. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive, a few orders were mixed up, and some items were forgotten, so we had to remind her. To be fair, it was a busy night and everyone can have an off day, and the situation did slowly get sorted out.
The food itself was fresh, tasty, and served in generous portions, and the shared parking made the visit convenient. As someone who loves themed restaurants, I think this location feels extra special, especially being so close to Detroit. The menu even features local personalities and places, adding a personal touch. If you love cars, you’ll love this place!

A fun place full of interesting decor, it is basically a Ford Museum.
The fun energetic filled restaurant has great food that is known for hamburgers but has many options.
It does get busy so expect a wait if you go during peak hours. The Estate burger came recommended and was mentioned as the most popular burger. The first few bites were good but then the sweet onion relish but not good anymore. Side options can be a choice, the tater tots were delish.

If you are nostalgic and like the Ford Motor Company, this is a restaurant for you! This is a great place to grab a burger or salad and sit at the bar where they have a cold ice counter to keep your drinks crisp. With memorabilia on the walls, a car hanging from ceiling and a couple engines used as posts this restaurant is not short on atmosphere. I like the brisket sandwich and the burger bowl is also tasty. They have a wide selection on their Happy Hour menu and we always stop in for a bite when passing through Novi.

Had no idea what to expect before going here. Im glad we went around 4. Although we still had to wait for about 20 minutes. When we left around 6, the amount of people waiting was ridiculous! Our food was very good and the prices were reasonable. Now, for the atmosphere. Not my cup of tea. Many people like the crowded noises places. I, do not. It sends my anxiety through the roof. So everytime that horn on the Model-T or A (whatever it is in the middle of the place) would go off (every 15 minutes or so), I would nearly jump out of my skin. It was noisey enough that I could not hear our server. Bottom line, service and food were great but very loud and crowded. I will place a carry-order but I wont be dining in again. If you like loud and congested, this could be the place for you!

We had a birthday party there and it was a great time. It seemed like several servers were all assigned to the area, so they really kept an eye on us to make sure that we all were happy. The food was delicious!

Tried a different type of margarita today, loved the sweet and spicy Rattle & Roll. My sandwich and sweet potato tots were awesome too.
My son looovvveeessss peanut butter so he orderd a burger that came with peanut butter on it I’ve never heard of that before, neither has he. He loved it!!!!
We’ll be back in a couple of weeks to try more tasty foods

I can’t even describe how amazing my experience was tonight. The atmosphere/theme was super well done. Gorgeous inside and outside. Our waitress, Michelle (shout out to you!) was fantastic. Super attentive and friendly, but also didn’t hover around us. Food came out quickly and tasted great. I split the Brisket Mac & Cheese and the Brisket Angus Burger w/ fries with my Mom. It was a great portion size and everything was hot and fresh. I ordered their version of a screwdriver and for $14, it too was out of this world. It tasted again, fresh and definitely worth the price for the liquor they serve in it. We planned on spending $60, but even with the alcoholic drink added on, it was about $37 before the tip. I can’t even eat that cheap in my hometown for that quality. The decor was funny/creative in the bathroom with the sinks being tires and the door handles being gas pumps. I can’t stress enough, you HAVE to come here and eat. I haven’t had this great of a dinner in a really long time, super memorable and will definitely always visit this joint. Please give it some love, they deserve all the praise and attention.

There are two outstanding Ford’s Garages in Michigan, but what sets this one above the other is the service provided by Leanne. She is what truly makes a difference when it comes to friendly, knowledgeable, and quick service. The food was good, beer cheese dip, burgers(I always enjoy the estate burger), french onion soup, fish, key lime pie, but the best item hands down these days are the cheese curds. We’ve been patrons of Ford’s Garage since they opened and we used to get the onion rings but they have been replaced by these amazing cheese curds. Making reservations is a key to not waiting long, so don’t procrastinate, make the reservation now!
