WOW — truly blown away. We stopped at Forbes Tavern yesterday before the Steelers game and I’m already excited to go back. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered an appetizer and two mains, and everything came out quickly, hot, and exactly as ordered. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The portions were huge, the prices were great, and the whole experience was fantastic. Couldn’t recommend it more.

We found this Great tavern after dropping off a car downtown. Leah our bartender was very charming, informative, and fun. She recommended the dip sandwich. I’ve had a lot of these in many different places and this was for sure the best ever! We had a fantastic time, ate some great food, and had some nice drinks. Definitely a go-to spot when in downtown Pittsburgh! Thanks Leah!

Came during happy hour on a Monday and it was packed! Service and food both great! My husband got the smoked wings with spicy bbq sauce. You could taste the smoky flavor and see the smoke ring.

I ordered the Tavern Burger, it was excellent. Also had BBQ wings bone-in, also excellent. The service was quick and friendly. The resturant is in the city so to walk by other tables is a little bit of a squeeze. Every time I’ve been here I’ve been very happy with the food.

Each time I come to Pittsburgh, I love getting the chance to eat at Forbes. The smoked wings and fried Brussels sprouts are top notch. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and know how to stick around or let someone be with a nice book. I’ll definitely be returning, again, on my next trip!

Great service, good place to catch a game or blow off steam during work hours or happy hour. Great bar food, pizza, fries and wings. Recommend if working in this part of downtown and dont want anything fancy.
