Wonderful place. We were there back in September, sat outside, was a little chilly but great atmosphere. Food, setting, dogs that were visting and of course the beer was great. At the table, we had Kutsky bowl – Kutzky Bowl
quinoa, fresh avocado, spinach, roasted squash
and cauliflower, black sesame seeds,
house-made bbq sauce & sriracha aioli, Pizza, & small sample of the mac & cheese. Fresh food and tasty, not processed, would go back in a heartbeat.

Forager is a local brewery and restaurant featuring a wide variety of beer styles. Food includes pub staples such as burgers and pizza along with salads, curries and much more. Tasty food, great beer and good times.

After eight+ hours on the road for four travelers with two Yorkies, we needed a dog friendly stop for an evening meal and a break from driving. Enter Forager Brewery in Rochester, MN, with a pet friendly outdoor patio. This gem of a find was the perfect place for our respite, as it ended up being more than just a break; experiencing Forager Brewery was a real pleasure and the discovery of a new destination.

The beer list is extensive and impressive, the food is eclectic and satisfying, and their cocktails are delicious. Funky live music kicked off shortly after we sat, and the band was great. But the setting itself takes the top prize from this experience, with potted flowers, hanging flowers, vintage decor, and a lovely ambiance. This was a great find and will be a factor in the timing of our future travel through the region!

I’ve eaten and enjoyed beer at Forager many (10+) times now. I can’t say enough about their beer.. it is delicious. In the past I’ve always gravitated to pizza on the menu and I haven’t tried one that I didn’t get along with. However, today my wife and I tried a few new things.. and we were a bit disappointed. The bao buns were stale, the “pico” in the queso was 4 pieces of diced tomato, the jalapeño avocado sauce for the tacos had a good kick but tasted like it was unsalted. My wife enjoyed her smash burger and really liked the fresh quick pickle, the fries were well seasoned and tasty.
Would I go back? Yes, its a cool place with a chill atmosphere and the beer is great.

It was a great place to stop for dinner and a beer on our way through Rochester to the Twin Cities. They have an extensive beer list as well as food menu. It is nice that that serve food relatively late, as we didn’t get in until after 9pm. The pizzas are definitely the hit. Depending on your appetite, a single pizza serves 1-2 people. I liked the flavor of the forager noodles, but the portions are HUGE. Be ready for leftovers. I enjoyed the atmosphere, specifically the artwork. I’m not sure if it’s every week, but this week they had live music every evening 7-10pm on Tuesday through Sunday. I highly recommend stopping in, especially those of you who love barrel-aged beers.

Awesome place, they have a coffee zone staring early with breakfast then the brewery open with a bigger seating area and an extensive menu. It looks really tasty with local products. A lot of beers available. High quality barrel aged beers, but there was a disconnect with how they serve them. 20$ for a 6oz bottle, that’s alright, but they serve them way too cold. They gave me a 10-12 oz glass for my first bottle and for the second bottle, they removed the entire wax..

It is a rare combination to have a brewery that makes excellent beer and has great food. I only wish it were closer to Michigan! I have been here for releases back in the crazy days of craft beer. A few of us even camped overnight when it made a slight comeback after COVID. Now that the industry has slowed down, it is much easier to get their beer.
I finally got a membership a few years ago so I have been lucky to come out to pick up before the releases. The atmosphere is much different during this time. It’s peaceful and relaxed. The service is excellent. The bar staff is so friendly. I do wish their beer wasn’t so expensive (some bottles $70). But I do understand with inflation and how the economy has been for a few years. I will do my best to continue to support them though. If you like beer and food and good vibes and are in Minneapolis, it’s worth the hour plus drive down to Rochester. Cheers

We stopped in at Forager today while doing a day trip to Rochester. The last time we were here, we had their pizza and loved it, so we had to come back for a tasting. This time we tried the Reuben deep dish. It was really good – great flavor, everything you’d hope for. My only critique is I wouldn’t have minded a little more meat, but overall it was solid.

And the bartender? Super friendly and welcoming. I wish I could remember her name because she couldn’t have been nicer.

Stop here for good beer or crowlers to go! We frequently buy forager beers, so we just had to make a stop and see what they had on hand. The staff was so welcoming and patient as we decided what to purchase. They helped us find exactly what we wanted. Atmosphere was great and although we didnt have any food, it all looked delicious. I’ll be coming back again when im in town.
