My first time to a Forage Kitchen. I’ll definitely be back. Fresh food and loads of healthy choices. I was overwhelmed by all the healthy things I wanted to try. Tuna Poke Bowls, Power Bowls, Wraps, so many options and all sourced from local farms and resources. I love it!!

Traveling and always so happy to find vegan GF food on the road a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. Carrot Ginger soup, lentil meatless meatballs, and build your own salad. All amazing. All for under $20.

We ordered the Thai Bowl and the Power Bowl, both $9.75. The Thai Bowl was better. The Power Bowl somehow seemed lacking. It was okay, but the portion size seemed smaller than normal. See pictures. The chicken with black rice was tasty and very hearty. If you come regularly, be sure to sign up for the loyalty program. It’s fairly easy to get a $5 off coupon. Unfortunately, you cannot sign up in store so do it ahead and then give your phone number to the cashier. Our other big complaint is they ALWAYS run out of the free bread that comes with the bowls AND they don’t offer any substitution when they run out. They gotta fix that or just get rid of the bread, its too disappointing time after time.

I had the chicken bacon caesar wrap yesterday (Sunday 9/28) at around 3pm. The food was very healthy overall but I was disappointed that the chicken served in the wrap probably was at least 3 hours old and dry and as tough as shoe leather. I saw it being put into the wrap by the gentleman, being scraped in from the bottom of the square container and I should have asked. I was unsure because it was my first visit. My friend and I ordered the same and his was very dry as well. I should have asked for a refund but I didn’t. I also noticed that they weighing the salad. The entire time, while sitting outside, I was dreaming about the fresh chicken I would have received at the Chipotle next door and the salad that isn’t weighed there. I can’t recommend this restaurant. It was an especially clean location. The walls were painted wonderfully and the tall ceilings made it quite a nice place. The fresh ingredients looked wonderful as well. Please better track the timing of the proteins served.

One of my favorite dinner places in Madison! Forage Kitchen is a clean-eatery that offers healthy bowl and plate options.

The menu is very simple and easy to navigate. All the base options are vegetarian and can be made with a meat-based protein for a small upcharge.

The restaurant is modern, clean and the staff are always very friendly.

There is free parking in the parking lot in front of the restaurant.

Loved the fresh, tasty, healthy food! Was super impressed with the variety of options, how quickly our meals were prepared and with the commitment to supporting local farms. Wish I had a Forage Kitchen in Janesville!

The food was tasty, make and create your own meal. A healthy alternative.

Would be nice to see more softdrink options and more inside seating. If the weather is nice, they do have outdoor seating which is very nice.

I love that it’s clean, real food and you can tell when walking in. The prices, however, are unfortunate. The build your own salad I get is $15+, which I usually am fine paying for because the portion is great and it leaves me satiated. However, recently the portion of every base / topping has become EXTREMELY small. $2.50 for tofu, and I got 4 cubed pieces (see picture), $2.00 for a hard boiled egg. I love supporting local places but moving forward with my budget in mind I will be making it at home.

The salad and protein options are amazing. The cooked vegetable options for the salads, like the cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, etc, are very good. I highly recommend this place.
