I got the LI cafe passport book from my co-worker for Christmas. In January I got to go to two coffee shops in this book, for five was the second one. I went with one of my friends. We both had the mochas and I had a shot of espresso because the book recommended it. The espresso was good, not overly bitter, pretty much just right. The mocha was amazing a good ratio of chocolate, coffee and espresso. It was pretty busy here and the atmosphere was nice. The snacks looked really good maybe one day I’ll go back for a pastry. I give for five five stars and five beans and would recommend coming here if you like coffee shops.

One of the worst café experiences I’ve had. The staff were visibly bored, disengaged, and seemed annoyed to even be there. Our coffee was made and left sitting on the counter with no announcement, no name called, and no attempt to inform us. We had to figure it out ourselves.

The pastry situation was just as bad ,a flaky pastry dumped into a cheap brown paper bag, not a plate in sight, zero presentation, zero care. For all of this, we paid $20, which is laughably overpriced for such poor service and lack of basic hospitality.

This place clearly doesn’t value customers. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Really love this coffee shop/cafe. The venue is open and well lit and always has a solid crowd with some working at tables and other eating or picking up coffee. Was nice out so was able to sit outside too which was great. Had their chicken Caesar sandwich along with a raspberry team and a cookie. Great casual workday vibe and delicious sandwich. I’ll be back!!!!

Great spot! Very busy too! Great vibe. Lots of people hanging and chatting and even many with their laptops out working. In addition to the pastries and such that you see and the items in the case that you can grab yourself, there is also a menu to order from. The food items were really good. I would only add that the prices are $$$$. Just so you are not shocked. Go enjoy a cup of coffee alone or with a friend .

Had a quick bite here and was pleasantly surprised at how cozy this place was. Very spacious with an open concept. I loved how they have sample dishes out so you can actually see what you’re getting. Perfect for people who are very visual like me. I need photos on the menu but this was a great alternative too!

I love their bare Espresso station! Amazing sandwich bread, croissants, etc.
Confusing entrance and exit: you don’t know if you’re supposed to seat yourself or what. My friend and I were walking around aimlessly for about half a minute, clueless. Then even more confusion when after you order: they give you a numbered sign to bring back to your table, but they still call out your drink by name… They should let you know this, or have a sign.
It’s spacious enough, the food’s delicious, but that rear door really lets in the wind: Surprise, napkins from a few tables gone.
They seem to have a lot of outdoor seating, so I would recommend going during the warmer months.

A great upscale local coffee shop serving great drinks and fantastic food.

On top of the great coffee, tea, and baked goods, there’s a pretty solid food menu full of fantastic breakfast and brunch options. Everything is definitely on the upscale side, so be prepared for higher price points for everything.

It’s a super modern, bright, clean, and spacious cafe, with plenty of tables, chairs, couches and armchairs. It’s a great place to get some work done, read, or catch up with a friend over coffee or a meal.

The staff are really friendly and attentive. You order at the counter and they’ll bring your food out to your table, and pick things up after.

Overall, a fantastic spot in a great neighborhood!

Good coffee shop in garden city NY . Great location. Very good latte’s. Priced slightly higher but worth their coffees. Love their interiors . Lots of place to sit and sip a fresh coffee. Breakfast is slightly expensive . Didn’t order any. Service was good . Parking is a little crazy around this area. It’s road side parking and tough to get in peak hours . Liked the experience overall .

The reviews are accurate. The food is overpriced and not worth it. $10.00 for a “chocolate” croissant with no chocolate is rough. My husband got a ham and cheese croissant ($10.00) and said it was not worth it either. I got a capuccino ($5.00) nothing special, not the worse, not the best. The service was fast and the lounge area is very nice, modern and clean, a lot of space inside and they also have tables outside.

I was very impressed with For Five. The atmosphere was clean and classy, the food was delicious and filling, and the coffee was incredible!

Keep in mind, you don’t get waited on while you’re here; you pick wherever you want to sit and you order at the register. They give you a table number and then your order is brought out to you. The line can get long to order and it can be annoying waiting in line instead of waiting at your table to order.

I’ve had a lot of the food items on the menu, I have yet to be disappointed with any of them. There are plenty of options ranging from steak and salads to pancakes and oatmeal.

They pride themselves on their coffee that they roast daily, and I have to say that it’s definitely one of the better East Coast roasts that I’ve had. Hot or iced it’s all delicious. Highly recommend trying some of their flavored lattes.
