Foothills Milling Company strives to be the cornerstone of extraordinary southern dining. The mill symbolizes the strength and self-sufficiency of East Tennessee communities and the original Wears Valley location had a working mill in the restaurant. Today, we are located in what was originally the Studebaker and Edsel showroom in downtown Maryville.
Not only has the restaurant’s image come from the foothills, but much of its food comes from the fruit of local farmers and businesses including Benton’s Bacon, Cruze Farms and Vienna Coffee, a tradition that will stay with the restaurant for generations to come.

One of the best dining experiences you can have in East Tennessee, and really in the southeast. Delicious food great service and lots of good cocktails. Our party had steaks and grouper and everyone loved their meal. My steak was cooked perfectly and I really didn’t even need a knife to cut through it. There are so many delectable sides and compliments to the proteins that really make it special and a delicious place to eat. If you’re anywhere around Knoxville or East Tennessee I would recommend getting in this place if you can

Great Restaurant and Service. Wide selection of wine, drinks and food. Didn’t give it a 5 stars on food because my main dish didn’t feel fresh almost like it was sitting to long to be put out. I did wait a bit for the main course but could of just been a busy night for them. I definitely will give it another try, the appetizers where great. One thing tho make reservations on the weekend (nights) cause I waited about an hour or more to be sited. Worth the try nevertheless

Had an amazing meal and impeccable service at Foothills Milling. We celebrated my husband’s birthday there and could not have asked for a better experience. The service was top notch, our courses were perfectly spaced out and the atmosphere was great. This is how fine dining should be. I have nothing but positive things to say about our meal there. We came here for our anniversary dinner and it was incredible! First impression when we got to our table, they had a custom place card with our name – so thoughtful! It’s the little things that truly make you feel special. Our server was wonderful and all the food was fantastic! The NY strip was the best steak we have ever had!

The food was great the fish and steak were both excellent, and the goat cheese tart (my favorite) didn’t disappoint. However, the service was underwhelming. We had a reservation for a large group, but it felt like the staff wasn’t prepared. Our server seemed burdened by every request, which took away from the overall experience. Great food, but the service needs improvement.

Wow, wow, wow!! We couldn’t have picked a better place to dine for our 5 year wedding anniversary! Everything was absolutely amazing! Our server, Hannah, was very attentive and nice! We started out with the curry pork meatballs and they were great! I would absolutely get them again. I had the bacon jam scallops and they were delicious. The creamed corn was hands down the best I’ve ever had. I could eat bowls and bowls of it. The scallops were cooked to perfection. My husband had the dry aged New York strip and he loved it. We love that they also bring out a chefs compliment small bite and a lemon sorbet before the main. We finished off the meal with the peach bourbon tiramisu. My husband loved it! We noticed a lot of people ordering the buttermilk pie so we will have to try that next time! Overall, I highly recommend Foothills Milling Co!

Absolutely perfect atmosphere, service, and food.
Service being my middle name, I rarely visit a restaurant without finding something I would change — but tonight’s dinner was simply amazing.
We also had special requests on the reservation, unknown to our other guests; and you know what the hostess actually read them and recited them to me. Can you imagine that in the 21st century.

A great experience, as always. Pricing puts it at a point where it’s a splurge night, date night, or special occasion, but it continues to draw me back. I usually get the lasagna, as I did this time, and tried the pork skin and pimento cheese dip appetizer. The appetizer was out of this world good! 10/10 highly recommend. My friend ordered the horseradish crusted grouper, which she said was really good, but stated the fingerling potatoes & brussel sprouts stole the show for her.
