1st visit Saturday mid afternoon March 4, 2023. The place is frequented by a good mix of locals of all ages, area shoppers for antiques and more, bikers, and families with small kids — really a great neighborhood gathering spot. Fair selection of draft beers, really good coffee and smoothie options all at reasonable prices. The appetizers are well prepared as we’re our sandwich lunches. Clean restrooms and facilities. It’s worth even a few extra miles out of your way just to check it out. My buddy and I were in the area on business, but will return and bring our wives.

My second, and my last, visit. Outstanding customer service often shows in the little things; so does lousy customer service. The waitress asked if I needed a refill and then did didn’t bring it. I can handle forgetting, but there were maybe two other tables of customers. I took my tea to the counter, and the guy there ignored me at first. When I didn’t go away, he asked what I wanted, and I got my tea refill – no apologies from the waitress for forgetting me. I asked for mayo for my sandwich. The guy said, “We don’t have mayonnaise packets.” I asked, “So you don’t have mayonnaise?” He repeated that he had no packets. DECENT customer service would be putting a spoonful of mayo in one of the little plastic cups they had on hand, but NOPE. He didn’t offer, and I didn’t ask because I knew from his attitude that I wouldn’t be back. To make bad matters worse, the tip comes BEFORE getting served. I won’t make that mistake again. I get better service than this from fast food places! TAKE A LESSON FROM CHICK-FIL-A. The reason they are always packed is about more than the food; it’s about their excellent customer service.

I am very supportive of local businesses. They seem to be sorting out some details as a new business. When you walk in you will order at the window on the left. If you choose to start a tab they take your card and all you will have to do is tell the bartender your last name to get a drink.
