Fantastic ice cream in an adorable historical building. Tried the plain chocolate ice cream and it was some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly creamy but not dense and heavy, great chocolate flavor. Prices are high but typical for the area. Will be back to try the fudge!

Yummy to the tummy! This adorable shop has delicious homemade fudge, homemade ice cream, a variety of candies, and more! We fell for the fudge and ice cream. Delicious! There is also a cute little eating area out back.

For $6 you get a mouthwash size cup of ice cream. The fudge is hit and miss on whether it’s stale or not. And the staff is fairly rude. On top of it, they pressure you for an 18%, 20%, or 25% tip for literally putting overpriced fudge in a box and telling you the total. Not a nice experience, not a place I’d go back to.

We live in town and my 4-year old daughter loves this place. We use “a trip to Foote’s Rest” as rewards for good behavior. So many varieties of candy/ice cream. The staff is kind, and the outside seating in summer (and sometimes in winter as well) can be so fun!

The teenage girl is very rude. I would never let my teenager talk to adults this way. I waited and talked to manager, she seemed to not really care, but when I told her I was a local, she said she would talk to them. She had an odd grin when she said it. Tourist trap stay away.

About a dozen different types of fresh homemade fudge to choose from. We wanted to try them all. Lots of candy selection including old school classics like abba-zabbas, etc. Ice cream all year round with toppings, but soft serve is only available in the summer.
