We live in town and my 4-year old daughter loves this place. We use “a trip to Foote’s Rest” as rewards for good behavior. So many varieties of candy/ice cream. The staff is kind, and the outside seating in summer (and sometimes in winter as well) can be so fun!

About a dozen different types of fresh homemade fudge to choose from. We wanted to try them all. Lots of candy selection including old school classics like abba-zabbas, etc. Ice cream all year round with toppings, but soft serve is only available in the summer.

Fantastic ice cream in an adorable historical building. Tried the plain chocolate ice cream and it was some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly creamy but not dense and heavy, great chocolate flavor. Prices are high but typical for the area. Will be back to try the fudge!

First to start, the fudge here is amazing. Would come back for fudge. I order the tiger stripe and salted caramel toffee, absolutely delicious and smooth. The ice cream on the other hand was mediocre. I order the salted caramel, which had a faked “candle” taste to it. Prices are decent at $4.50 for a slice of fudge. Would come back for dessert sometime.

Rude and over priced. Last trip to footes after going there sporadically for 15 years. Kid at the register yells at my kid for touching an old cash register next to the candy. What do you expect at a candy shop that kids are gonna do? And $5.25 for a scoop of ice cream in a cup is ridiculous. Ice cream isn’t even good. Will spend our money somewhere else moving forward.
