Food was amazing! I think the fusion of flavors was done really well! I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. My favorites were the villa juana roll and the Noemi so far.

I moved here a few months ago and been getting the it factor from any food place I’ve been to but Foodtok has changed that idea. This is some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time!!!! If you are thinking about going stop thinking, just go. Do yourself a favor and order actually everything off the menu. They are using techniques I’ve only seen at bib gourmand establishment. The searing of the delicate salmon was actually perfect elevating not only the taste but experience while you eat the sushi. They have me saying “elevating” and “experience” anyways I’m done. GOOOOOOO SUPPORT AND EXPERIENCE some extremely good eating.

This is the first time I visited this place and first time of hearing them, and I had to review it after we ate the Noemi roll and the leader roll; amazing, simply put! Absolutely delicious and will be visiting this spot as my go to for sushi from now on. Definitely recommend, you won’t be disappointed. They were super friendly and we got sweet candies in our bag as a treat! Thank you so much for the food!!

I recently tried an amazing Dominican-Japanese sushi fusion and was blown away by the freshness of the ingredients in every bite. I had the Villa Juana roll, which features deep-fried Dominican salami and cheese, topped with pickled onions—it was an absolute flavor explosion! The Lidel roll leaned more into Asian flavors, with sweet plantain, seared salmon, and a crispy rice topping that added a fun texture. I can’t wait to try all their offerings on future visits! The staff was quick and friendly, and the place looked pristine and well put together. 100% recommend!

I’ll be honest I was skeptical about trying sushi from a food truck, but the pictures looked great and I still wanted to risk it. It was worth the risk. I ordered The Leader Roll, The Master Roll, Crispy Rice Sushi, and the edamame. It was all fantastic and I highly recommend The Master Roll. I will be going back to try more.

If you’ve never heard of Sushi Aplatanao, you’re in for a treat! FoodTok FL is a food truck bringing a bold and creative fusion of Dominican and Japanese flavors, and trust me—it’s not your average sushi spot. The term “aplatanao” is Dominican slang for being deeply connected to Dominican culture, and that’s exactly what this sushi is: a Dominicanized take on Japanese sushi, packed with flavor and personality.

Forget raw fish and delicate flavors—this sushi is all about big, bold, and cooked ingredients that blend the best of both worlds. Some of the signature Dominican touches include:
– Sweet plantains (maduros) for a little natural sweetness
– Fried cheese, because, well, cheese makes everything better
– Salami, adding that smoky, savory Dominican touch
– Guacamole, swapping out wasabi for a creamy, flavorful kick
– Churrasco (grilled steak), giving sushi a hearty twist
– Chicken (fried chicken), for those rolls that love white meat

Wrapped up in sushi rice and nori, then topped with house-made sauces, the result is a delicious mix of sweet, savory, crispy, and creamy flavors in every bite.

A Must-Try: The Villa Juana | Domi Roll
One of their standout rolls is the Villa Juana Roll, named after a well-known Dominican neighborhood. It’s got fried cheese, sweet plantains, Dominican salami, and a drizzle of their special sauce, making it a perfect example of this fusion style. Every bite is an explosion of flavors that’ll have you questioning why sushi didn’t always taste like this!

If that doesn’t appeal you, then just go for their traditional rolls in the box, such as Spicy Tuna, Kalifornia, Salmon roll, JB roll, etc.

Service it’s amazing and both the chef and the sous chef are great hosts.

Love this sushi and will be coming back for sure!

The food here is absolutely top-notch, and the owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. They serve creative rolls you won’t find anywhere else, blending Hispanic and Asian flavors in a way that works beautifully.

My favorite thing I tried was the El Yankee Roll. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the mix of bold Hispanic flavors with traditional sushi made for an outstanding bite.

If you’re looking for a fresh, unique take on sushi, I highly recommend checking out this food truck.

Really unique and really tasty twist on sushi. Interesting flavor and texture combinations with the crunchy tempura, creamy avocado, and sweet plantains. Portions are pretty good. Even the side salad was really good – most sushi places don’t put much effort into the salad.

Highly recommended, would come again next time I’m in the area.
