I wasn’t clear when I walked into this business if it was a butcher or a mini mart. It’s definitely not a butcher and the prices are desperately over priced. I walked right out when I was told it was a butcher shop. Funny thing is the review screen shop attached to this says it all. The guy behind the counter had a attitude when I asked if they sell meat. I believe I might have been here before and realized that it was a waste of time. Go somewhere that is welcoming and food is worth it.

The Absolute best there is! Do not settle for just mediocre, FOI is top notch with an unbelievable selection. Take a peek at the menu board, they aren’t playing around here, the sandwiches are legit.. a staple in the community serving up the best in Italian food has to offer. Price outrageous for what was made. BLT 2 pieces of bacon and alot of shredded lettuce and 1 tiny tomato. HUNGRY MAN made sloppy and couldn’t fill a child’s stomach for 27$$ Times are hard but this is unacceptable. So much for trying a new deli. Oh and the counter guy needs to try and act like he cares about his job or business. Go to 35th street deli and see the difference in price and quality

Its been a while since I been there but you can’t beat the quality of everything they sell I brought some Italian cold cuts today didn’t even have to tell them how to slice them and fresh mozzarella was delicious! Great Service and happy helping people

Coming here is like walking in and visiting family. We’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Pete is wonderful, kind, always welcoming and a great business owner. Anthony is so friendly and knows our orders by heart. This is the kind of treatment that you want! And the food – it is DELICIOUS! They make the best eggplant caponata there is. We eat it straight out of the container. The egg sandwiches have been our favorite for years – ham, egg & mozzarella and eggplant, egg & mozzarella. There is no where else like Foods of Italia. They always have very good cold cuts and specialty items throughout the store. If you haven’t been, get there now!
