I popped into FoodieVietnam and I have to say, the pho bo completely stole the show. This wasn’t just some bland noodle soup. This was the real deal. The rice noodles were perfectly soft but still had a bite, and the broth… oh, the broth. Rich, savory, with layers of flavor that hit you like a warm hug but also make you sit up and pay attention. The beef was tender, the beef balls had that springy, satisfying texture, and everything just melded together beautifully. Every spoonful was like a little orchestra of taste.
The staff were genuinely nice, welcoming without being overbearing, and the service was impressively quick. It’s not just a fast and furious kind of quick either. It’s the kind of quick that still feels thoughtful. The place itself was clean, neat, and didn’t feel like they would cut corners anywhere.
If you’re into food that’s honest and just hits all the right notes, FoodieVietnam delivers. Pho like that? Rare to find and absolutely worth your time.

Orders the pork rice.
Good flavour but not missing a few traditional elements
The rice was just regular rice instead of broken rice
Egg is usually quite crispy and crunchy
The pork chop is usually semi divided into 4/5 fingers
However still better then other vietnemese places I’ve had in the UK.
For any Australians wondering….yes all the Viet food back in aus is better and cheaper.

I ordered the pork chops, egg and rice which I absolutely loved but my friend ordered the beef pho and that blew me away! It’s packed with flavour and probably the best pho in Bristol! Wish I had that one instead…I’ll definitely be back to try more. I also recommend their Iced Vietnamese coffee!
Side note: The restaurant is actually much bigger than it looks!

The food is really in high quality! We love the broth with rich flavour and spices! The slow cook beef slices are so good. I also love this Goi cuon, which is a rice paper rolls with veggies and a kind of meat with your choice. Prawn is definitely the best go-with. Of course you cant miss Vietnamese coffee!

That was the second time I have visited FoodieVietnam. I went for £33 tasting menu and a pot of jasmine tea. I really liked deep fried sweet potato and prawn savoury cake and beef and vegetable pho. This is surely an interesting place on St Nicholas Market with authentic cuisine and fresh ingredients. The only thing I must say I’m not a fresh coriander lover and I got plenty even when I asked to be not put in my food

We had a late lunch here. The service was good.
The food, however, was a bit of a disappointment.
The beef in the Pho was so chewy I couldn’t eat it. with no extra salad or bean sprots to add. Also, no sauces are on the tables you have to ask for them.
The Bun nem nurong (vermicelli noodle bowl) with pork was OK, but the pork was a mince pork packed onto a skewer and not chunks of pork. It did taste good.

Friendly staff, simple clean establishment on the edge of St Nicholas Market. The food was really good, freshly prepared and very authentic. This was the first time I had been here and it was only one course for lunch so hardly a full blown review of all they provide but what I had was of a very high standard (Pho Bo – Traditional Vietnamese beef broth with beef strips and rice noodles). Great location in a busy market but a place you can get away from the hussle and bustle for a while.
