My experience dining at Food Trail was highly disappointing. Service took time although the restaurant was empty except for the two of us. We had high hopes after reading the reviews but the dosa and the pav bhaji served were far from good.

Sweetness overload: Dosa, sambar, chutney, bhaji – everything was SWEET. I mean who adds sugar in dosa batter?!

Dosa batter: The consistency of the dosa was very concerning as it seemed like made from a store brought batter or something whipped up last minute using rice flour and suji. Dosa batter is traditionally made by soaking urad dal, rice & fenugreek seeds for several hours before grinding & fermenting them together. As a South Indian, I was offended by the dosa they gave me. This one goes in my worst 10 meals I have had so far.

As for the pav bhaji, the only thing that tasted close to okay was the pav bun. The bhaji was once again sweet and drenched with oil and ghee that it became a chore to eat.

The only saving grace was the sweet server lady. I’m really not sure if this was a one-off or this is how they generally prepare food. Very disappointed with their food given their highly priced menu.

Amazing Indian food and excellent service. We had Paneer Dosa, Cheese Pao Bhaji, Masala Chai and Cold Coffee. All came out so good. The owner is from Western part of India and hence the menu has a large selection from the delicacies of Gujarat and Mumbai region of India. An excellent option for those who love eating vegetarian food.

Travelling for my business and found this amazing Indian Authentic Restaurant. My experience at Food Trail was fantastic! I ordered Palak Panner, it was absolutely delicious, flavorful, and prefectly spiced. The Garlic was soft, fluffy, and was perfect amount of garlic and butter.
Staff (Hari ) and his team was super welcoming, friendly, and very easy to talk to.
The place was spotless, the cleanliness really stood out, making my experience more enjoyable.
– I really appreciate for giving me Masala Chai Tea at the end, it reminds me of my old days. Thank You Hari, and your entire staff.
I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for real Indian Food which is tasty!! I will def be back with my whole Team!!!

I don’t understand how this indian restaurant has such high ratings. We’ve visited a couple of times, hoping for improvement, but the food is consistently disappointing, except for the dosa, which is decent.

The samosas were clearly frozen, with undercooked, still-frozen filling. The masala gravy was burnt, dark, and tasted off. The buns were stale and unpleasant. To top it off, they serve food on paper plates, despite charging for full service. We paid for a proper dining experience, and this is what we get?

Despite the high ratings, we thought it might be a one-off, but every visit has been a letdown. Would not recommend.

First time in PA having indo food . The restaurant offers different dishes such as indo Chinese, south indian and Punjabi food. Both Vegetarian and meat. I’m a vegetarian so I got my favorite. My paneer tikka masala was fresh and tadty. Not too sweet or salty. Balance favor. Butter naan was too chewy for me but taste good. My friend explained that meat for the biryani was well season and cooked. Rice was delicious and has the spicy kick. Aloo samosa was delicious along with the sauces to go with it. Everyone were friendly but Glasses should be offered to drink soda or water. There’s no need to worried about Parking.

The name and signage meant that we would have missed the place if we hadn’t been looking for it. It was recommended by someone at work.

We walked in, nobody greeted us. We walked up to the counter and asked if we could look at a menu. They handed us one beautiful menu. It was well laid out, beautiful descriptions and photos. It was quite large so we asked if we could sit to look at it. They gave us to go menu to read which was much smaller and more difficult to read for us old people.

Eventually, someone came to our table with another larger menu and one bottle of water… There were 2 of us. We still were unsure if we needed to go to the counter to order.

The guy did come back to take our order. We asked if they had diet soda… We are diabetic. He said only Coke and Sprite, no diet. So I asked for another bottle of water instead. My husband asked me if I saw diet Coke in the cooler, I want sure. He went up and they had diet Coke the guy never did ask if we wanted the other water.

But the food… Oh so good. I ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala. He asked if we wanted naan with it so we did order some. When he came with our orders, he put my husband’s order in front of me and mine in front of him. He didn’t say which was which. They were both dishes of stuff in sauce. It’s a good thing I don’t have nut allergies because he gave me the dish with nuts in it! Great! It all turned out but they need to be more careful. We both liked the food a lot…

Not so much the service. Still waiting for a to go container and check… It’s been quite a while since he brought out the food and never once checked on us.

Oh, and no toilet paper… There goes another star… Too bad because the did really is 5 stars.
