This was my first time trying Food N Stuff (and my first time in Gaylord for that matter). I came in alone as my husband was teaching a class. The staff was kind and helpful. I had every intention of eating in, however staff never asked if I wanted my food to go. I was also never offered a drink or asked if I wanted anything else, which I thought was odd. I was asked to have a seat and they would bring my food out. I was disappointed to see it come out in a to-go bag. The newspaper wrap for the sandwich was a cute touch.

I ordered the half sandwich & bowl of soup combo, Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese & Loaded potato soup. Rarely do I get soup at a restaurant so I thought I would start with that. Let me just say that the soup was absolutely delicious. It was more of a cup than bowl size, but it was perfect. Well seasoned, with fresh bacon, green onion and cheddar cheese as garnishes. There were big chunks of potato and they were perfectly cooked.

Moved on to my sandwich next, and wish I would have started with that instead. I had high hopes for it after the soup, but I was sorely disappointed. Had I not known there was jalapeño, I couldn’t have told you. It was smashed, a little mushy (probably because I ate my soup first, and there was no ooey-gooey cheese as one would hope for in a grilled cheese. Actually, a good amount of shredded cheese in the sandwich was not even melted. The bacon was well cooked and flavorful.

Overall, I would try it again as the soup was perfection. Definitely make sure you eat in and ask for it that way. I do feel that $14 was a bit steep, however I do love supporting family businesses as opposed to chain restaurants.

Cute quaint place. The interiors no frills, but simple and clean. The staff was pleasant and worked together assisting guests. Found this place. Just searching Google for lunch options. We would definitely go here again and highly recommend it. Great breakfast and lunch place.

I’m not one to usually leave a review, but I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl today for lunch and it was amazing. By far the best lunch I have had in a long time, staff was always awesome! Will definitely order from them again!

Riding through Gaylord. Saw a different kind of restaurant. Tried it out. Had the panini sandwich with pickles. Very tasty. Nice to sit outside. They deliver your food. No trash cans around. Leave containers on table and they clean up. Price $15

Drove through Gaylord and searched Delis. Food n Stuff was lower on the list but looked at their menu and it looked like a good enough variety to go and try it out. My husband got their Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. When asked to rate it. He said it was bomb dot com. Worth the 2 hour drive. I had a French dip, best one I’ve had up north. Will definitely have to revisit. Worth the little out of the way drive from the highway.

Service- the ladies were all smiles and very kind and helpful.

Great job.

Loved this place. Maybe, 7-10 tables, but clean and well kept. Best of all was the varied Menu options, really good food, and terrific service.

Amy and Lori double-tag team each other to answer questions, to make sure you have everything you want and need, and to take your orders, getting it to your table while hot.  The Owner, Jaime, has a creative mind with the food and the restaurant set up.  You three are gems!

Our initial orders were the Pot Roast Patty Melt Panini with Fries and Pickle Spear. I had the Figgy Grilled Cheese Panini (Brie, Fig Jam, Apple Slices on Sourdough Bread. Both were outstanding and filling (leftover takeouts for dinner or breakfast.) My Stuffed Pepper Soup was so good, that I ordered a quart to go for 3 more meals. The only negative about our experience there was when my sister ordered the Beef Teriyaki Power Bowl as her Takeout. They offer it as a choice Beef or Chicken. She was really disappointed at Dinner to discover she received the Chicken version (which was good, but absolutely not what she wanted.)  We did laugh because another Gaylord restaurant did exactly the same thing to her order 2 months earlier on our trip there.

I wish I could have docked the review a partial star because mistakes happen, but that cook was careless. This restaurant closes at 3:00 after lunch, so corrections weren’t possible.  Not being diligent on takeout orders can hurt a restaurant’s rating.

We loved Food n Stuff enough to keep the full 5-Star rating, despite the one mistake (and shorter hours. We would have come back for Dinner! ) I’m ready to return to try at least 4 other items on their menu.

Amazing food with great flavor, so many choices hard to pick. I got the steak bowl and it did not disappoint. My wife got the BBQ chicken Hawaiian wrap and loved it. I would definitely come back.

I Highly recommend this place!
Fresh-made, delicious food. Staff is friendly and attentive.
We had the Classic Italian sandwich, and the Pot Roast Patty Melt. I also had a delicious chicken dumpling soup with big chunks of breast meat and a really yummy broth (which I ate before getting a picture of it)
The caesar salad on the table next to ours looked amazing too.
We’ll have to come back so we can try some of the other stuff they offer.
We live 2 hours away (UP), and said ”This place is worth the drive!”

This is a great hidden gym just off the main stretch. My friend and I first ordered the cheese curds and they were DELICIOUS! We both got a panini, the grilled mozzarella and the Figgie grilled cheese, One was french fries and one was potato salad, and split to try them. Everything was fresh and absolutely amazing! We got two cookies to go and you guessed it, also delicious! Plus they have an awesome deal all you can eat soup and salad for $10 1-3 M-F. That will be our next lunch we try. Definitely recommend!
