I ordered the fried pork chop with yams, potato salad, and mac and cheese, and everything was cooked just right. The flavors were rich, comforting, and perfectly seasoned. This place truly captures the heart of good soul food. The staff made me feel right at home, and the cozy atmosphere added to the experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I ordered the fried turkey wing plate with Lima beans, broccoli casserole, and rice and gravy. My turkey wings are very disappointing. This place does no refunds so I didn’t bother to go back in. Which is fine.. I know what not to order from there anymore. My turkey wings that I was served today have to be the worst turkey wings ever. These turkey wings are overcooked, dried out, and I can see the whole bone on the wing when I first opened my box like all the meat fell off in the fryer. They take the tips off which is my best part of the turkey wing! The sides that I ordered were ok, but boy am I disappointed about these turkey wings! Also, no refunds will be issued so I didn’t bother to go back in. When a restaurant has a no refund policy everything should come out just right to satisfy the customer. These turkeys wings just wasn’t it.

Stopped by on a whim and was bowled over by the food and the folks working there. I had the fried pork chop, yams, potato salad and Mac n cheese. All of it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The entire staff was friendly and funny. A perfect spot for soul food. Extra credit for some great lemonade in the biggest cup I’ve ever seen. Get some time to go by and get a great meal.

So I finally made it to this spot. Someone told me about it a month ago..I had some time to kill today and I was near by. So if you like hole in the wall joints. This is your spot. I love hole in the walls. It was a bit bood. But that is right up my alley. Parking … there is not alot. There are a few spots up front. Some on the sides..but its next to a liquor store. So it can get crowded. I ordered the fried pork chop meal. When I got home. I was very pleased. The yams was delicious. The mac n cheese was good also. And the collards. Everything was on point and I tried the house drink. That waa good alao. I will definitely he back because they got other stuff on the menu to try. And the prices were not too bad. The portions were also pretty decent.

The food was great. I cant wait to go back. The building is very homely, so I dont imagine many people eating in, but everyone was nice and inviting. If you want real soul food, then this is most definitely worth a stop in. So glad I finally went.

I went by the this place on September 14, 2025. I normally check my cash before I leave. This was my mistake. I gave the man at the cash register a 100.00 bill. He gave me what appeared five 20.00 back. Again, my mistake for not checking. I should have know he was up to no good, when he wanted the 100.00 bill for himself. I normally go to this place once a month. However, this is last time going. If you will steal from your customers. This is not the place for me. Again. I should have count my money. Rushing home to get out of my clothes after church. Also, if he did this to me, he had done it before.
