Incredible and flavourful food. Their saffron basmati rice and chicken biryani are exceptionally well made, soft and fluffy. The chicken korma tasted more like butter chicken to me personally but still very delicious and this may be subjective. The meat is extremely tender and falls apart in your mouth. The portions are very large. It is clear that the chef knows what they are doing. I will definitely be returning and am super excited to add the restaurant to my local favourites.

I had a great first-time experience at Food Flame! The customer service was excellent—they took the time to explain the menu and helped me choose the best food. Everything was delicious, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back!

This is my 2nd time ordering from here (I probably didn’t even make it a full week before ordering again). I tried the Chicken Vindaloo this time and it was just as delicious as the Chicken Tikka Biryani I had. It came with, I believe it was, Naan. It was wrapped in foil and was still warm. The texture was amazing. I was not expecting it to come with that so it was a nice surprise. It also came with rice and their delicious green chutney. As usual, the portion was generous and I will be eating it all day today. They even spelled my name with the extra E on my takeout order. 🙂

I give this spot 5☆s for their wonderful service, the young man at the register is absolutely delightful. I have been here a few times now, but the food just dosen’t hit right sometimes, but they will take it back, and fix it. When I think of curries of Pakistani or Indian style, as they are quite similar in nature, I seek the flavor of long simmered spices to go into the flavor of whatever is being prepared, especially the tougher protiens. But when you pre boil meats, and then add it to a sauce to finish the dish, I can tell the difference, and that is the usual approach at restaurants to minimize waste, and give the food a longer shelf life. I also appreciate when protiens, especially chicken for curries or biryanis have been prepared with the bone as the flavor is much tastier. Yes, I understand that you need to please the majority client in the area who may not appreciate that, and I understand. But it does take away from the depth of flavor and authenticity. For next time, I know how to order the food, and ask for it the authentic way in advance, and I know they will make it happen. Good job guys keep it going!

Had lunch at Food Flame and it was excellent. The Chicken Tikka Masala was packed with flavor and just the right level of spice. The garlic naan was a perfect side to the curry, hot, soft, and loaded with garlic. Overall, a solid meal. If you’re into good Indian food, give Food Flame I highly recommend.

Food Flame is truly a hidden gem when it comes to authentic Indian and Pakistani cuisine. The food is prepared with incredible flavor and evident care — every dish tastes as though it was made with love and attention to detail. The quality of the ingredients and the richness of the spices create an experience that feels both traditional and refined.
In addition to the outstanding food, the prices are very fair and justified for the portion sizes and quality offered. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers such exceptional taste and value combined. Food Flame is undoubtedly a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates genuine, flavorful South Asian cuisine.

I just ordered here for the first time after living here for almost 3 years. I have been missing out! I ordered the Chicken Tikka Biryani. For some reason I assumed the chicken portion came in a sauce, but mine did not. It did not need a sauce. The chicken and rice had so many spices and flavors by themselves. 3 sauces came on the side and they were all so delicious. With tax, the meal was $20, but I could easily make this into multiple meals with the portion size. I will definitely be ordering from here again. I want to try more things, but I liked this order so much I’m not sure I will be able to order anything else. Lol

My wife and I were very disappointed with our food. We ordered 4 dishes costing over $90, and it will all basically be thrown away. The shrimp were very overcooked, very hard, and basically inedible. I ordered a fish masala, which I was told was salmon. It did not taste or look like salmon, as you can see from the pictures. The flesh is totally white, and tasted like some kind of fake meat. I’m not even convinced the chicken in the Biriyani was authentic. We tried this place because of so many good reviews. I’m convinced that the reviews are from people who might not have other experiences with Indian food and just really like the sauce. I would suggest making the drive to Indish restaurant in Brandywine, MD, and compare.

Very rich and tasty food! Didn’t have to wait long for food either. Got the chicken korma, mutton, and chicken biryani. Meat was well seasoned and biryani was tasty. It’s a Pakistani/Indian restaurant so it has all the usual favorites and it also has Karahi. Definitely recommend trying this place out!

Owners are so kind and prices are very reasonable for the portions. Delicious lamb biryani and the best chana masala I’ve had. Very happy to have found this spot.
