Kinda loud. Really cold. Great service, but the soggiest fries I’ve encountered in years. Brussels sprouts were a tiny serving so charred and drowned in (butter??) that they were not edible. Fantastic chilaquiles and burgers though.

We sat down right away. Our server came over and took our drink order. After that it was 10 to 15 minutes before she took our food order. After our food was served we saw our server twice. Once for drink refills and then the check. Overall the food is and was great!

Husband and me wanted to watch football and we wanted a nice atmosphere, great cocktails and food. After extensive research online we landed on Food + Beer – Florida Sports Bar in Venice. I’m so glad we chose this restaurant. We were immediately welcomed and when I requested a different table than originally offered so we had a good view of our preferred football game we were accommodated without hesitation.
Tory was our server and she was very efficient on a busy football Sunday.
I had the Paloma cocktail and it was delicious I just wish the bartender would have a nice black salt rim it was watered down. And I received a grapefruit segment on the first Paloma no li.r wheel. No grapefruit or dehydrated lime wheel sight for my second. Husband and asked for a blackberry mojito but we were told they couldn’t do it. They offered a strawberry mojito instead which husband enjoyed but I was annoyed because their “Let’s get Ready to Bramble” cocktail features blackberry. That was the only letdown.
The menu was the draw for us and they have a brunch menu we will be back for. Today try Hot Brown and Shrimp a nd grits and more…
Today we started with Grouper Nuggets and Nashville Gator bites. The Grouper nuggets were well seasoned and grouper delicious. The Gator bites were better than expected. The pickle and sauce served with the Gator bites were yummy.
We were watching football and enjoying cocktails. We decided to try the Crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks. These were very good and true to Crab Rangoon flavor. I couldn’t help thinking that a little chili like Jalapeño or Poblano in the cream cheese mixture would have been excellent but crab Rangoon does not have a very chili so…
Finally reshaped the Birria Tacos. This was my favorite dish today. The taco shells were crispy the braised beef filling was so good. The thing that put it over the top is the Consommé Dip. OMG!
In conclusion I highly suggest you get yourself over to Food plus Beer in Venice for some very tasty food in a clean, fun, cool atmosphere with very good service. Best Wishes everyone!

Stopped in during triva night so it was pretty crowded and loud. Our waitress was still very attentive. Nice craft beer selection available and they offer a more upscale bar food selection. My husband didnt care for the Nashville hot chicken sandwich much. He thought it was a bit greasy and had more breading than he would have liked. The fries were seasoned with an old bay type seasoning and seemed more salty than we cared for. The sweet potato tots woth honey butter were really good and I enjoyed my legalize marinara sandwich. The chicken was prefectly crispy, juic and tender and the garlic roll made the sandwich.

Great spot! New and great ambiance. French fries are super delish as well as their Mac & Cheese . Our server was so nice and efficient. She did a great job considering she was by herself with 6 other tables. Great work!

In town for family visit and found this awesome place to watch the NFL playoff game. Great food, amazing staff and every TV has the game on and all the speakers in the building are on the broadcast. We are having a great time!!!

This was our second visit. First visit was good and we decided to come back. Second visit was poor.
Service was okay but lagging on a slow night. Wings are way too small, sauce is bland and wings seem unseasoned. We send back sauce for nachos was cold send back fries the were completely cold. Philly cheesesteak was bland and dry needed more cheese.
I am not going tell you how to fix but will say it would not take much to pack them in n with a 25% improvement in food and 15 % Service.

I’m sad we didn’t take pictures, but we’ll be back again! We had fried pickles and chips with queso as our appetizers, and they were a true first impression! The pickles were perfectly crisp with amazing flavor. The chips were light and salted to the heavens. You could tell they use clean oil. I’m super picky when it comes to tortilla chips lol.
Anyway, we followed those with 4 different meals, one being the kids grilled cheese. 6 year old loved it! I had the anashville hot chicken sandwich. It was delish and the fries were seasoned perfectly . The other meal was the homemade chicken nuggets, and they were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Every bite was juicy and tender. The last meal was the ‘Merica cheeseburger, and my teenage son couldn’t fit the whole thing in his mouth for a bite, so it was HUGE. He noted the only thing he’d change was the bacon being a little on the softer side. He prefers crispy. He still gave it a 10/10.
We eat out often, and have had trouble finding great restaurants with seriously flavorful food in Venice. Food + Beer is now on our short list for places to eat at!

Food is amazing and big portions! Steak is tender and juicy, red fish was THE BEST EVER! Crab rangoon mozzarella sticks app was SOOOO CREAMY AND DELICIOUS! BEER ICE COLD, AND FAMILY SPORTS BAR VIBE!!! COME TO NSB WE NEED A RESTAURANT LIKE YOU!!!!
