Servers are knowledgeable, helpful, professional and usually a little fun and sarcastic. Food is always top notch. Kids menu is solid. Never had anything but great service. Restrooms are well maintained. Beer selections are always fantastic on tap. We go
Once a year and every year it seems the restaurant has been nothing but excellent to us. They always have fun specials and the staff will guide you in the right direction for the best meal for you. Appetizers are always on point too. So be sure to arrive hungry and get dessert while you’re at it. Bread pudding is noice.

This place is amazing. Had been here for brunch but came last night for dinner with a group of girlfriends. We were decked out in our attire for an annual wig night celebration (last weekend in January to celebrate Mary Jane). We were also celebrating our girlfriend’s birthday who is also turning 50. We had a blast. The service was phenomenal and so was the food! I had the Alaskan Cod. It was so delicious. I was full 1/2 way through the meal but it was too good to not finish everything on my plate. They easily accommodated our group of 14 people and made for another special wig night in our history books. You don’t have to have an special occasion as an excuse to go here. Just go. You’ll be glad you did.

We went for late breakfast on a Sunday. Lots of seated patrons but we were seated and given menus right away. Lots of variations of eggs Benedict available and lots of other breakfast choices too, mimosas and bloody Mary’s with shrimp and pickled okra – delicious!! Decent pricing and comfortable seating. Kid menu available too.

Seafood in the mountains? Yep, very tasty cajun vibe. Rustic and not pretentious. Perfect food for warming up after a cold day of skiing. Our host Nancy was great.

This is the Cajun spot in Winter Park. Hubby was craving some good ol’ southern food, specifically fried catfish. We started with an order of the fried okra. I ordered the fried cod fish sandwich and hubby ordered the fried catfish & coleslaw. Also ordered a cup of gumbo (tomato based) to sample. Everything was pretty authentic and yummy. The fried okra and the cajun fries were the star for me.

Came in on Saturday before Christmas for dinner with a group of 5 around 5:40 pm. We were able to walk in and be seated immediately. No wait and it didn’t seem like there were many people.

We were able to order our food quickly and our appetizer and drinks came quickly. We got the dynamite shrimp appetizer and it was delicious.

Our food was pretty slow to come…. 30 minutes. We ordered two specials (parmesan and andouille crusted red fish), a ravioli, a kids quesadilla, and a kids pasta and meatball meal. Most of the food came at the 30 minute mark but the pasta and meatball meal came 5-7 minutes later. It’s unfortunate because the kids need the longest time to eat.

The flavor of the food was spot on. The special was delicious. The only problem was you could tell the food sat at the pass for a bit. The perimeter of everything was cold while everything else was warm. I’m also disappointed in one of the kids meals coming later by a decent n amount than the rest of the meals.

With that being said, the flavors were spot on… I just wish things arrived promptly and without sitting on the pass for longer than necessary. I mean, if you are going to spend a lot of money on seafood in the mountains, then you want it to be warm all the way around and have everything arrive at the same time.

Great food and service! The calamari appi was awesome!! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the seafood selection was great! The friendliness of staff could improve, but hopefully it was just a rough day and not typical. Our server had no time for chit-chat, it was order, be done, see ya!

I’ve been coming to Fontenot’s in Winter Park for over 10 years, and it never disappoints! The gumbo is absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and perfectly done every time. Their Shrimp Po’ Boy is another favorite, always fresh and packed with flavor. On top of the great food, the staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which makes every visit enjoyable. Fontenot’s has become one of my all-time favorite places in Winter Park, and I can’t recommend it enough!
