Seriously the best burger I have ever had! The Blackberry Jalapeno Burger… delicious, unique, and PERFECT! For a side I chose grilled mac and cheese because I was intrigued by that concept and I was as not disappointed. My husband had an Asian inspired pork wrap that was excellent and cucumber tomato salad. I will definitely be making the drive back up to beautiful Mentone, Alabama atop Lookout Mountain to eat here again. It is a food truck sitting in the lot situated directly next to the Mentone Inn Bed & Breakfast.

Wow!!! I have had a creative burger, a tender pork chop, perfectly executed sides and a delicious peach/ pear cobbler over the last two years. I hope to be back in town to try more soon. We could not get in to the Wildflower Cafe so we walked over to this food truck and it was AMAZING! We could not believe our good luck! Several had the main burger, it was excellent. The chicken salad sandwich was excellent and you must must must try the grilled Mac and cheese! We will be back! It is made to order fresh so you have to wait a few minutes but it is well worth it!!

Let me just say, this place is worth the wait. the owner works this little stand by herself and she makes everything fresh. We had the pimento cheese burger and the fontastic burger. They were AMAZING!!! We also had the grilled Mac and cheese, and oh my gosh it was awesome. Also the cucumber salad which she cut the vegetables and made it on the spot and the potato salad also was delicious. If you are in Mentone, Al you must try Fontastic Foods.

My husband and I foolishly decided to just grab one burger to share here since we had some other food to finish at our Airbnb. We should have definitely each had our own. We split the blackberry jalapeño burger with a bacon add-on and a side of the smoked mac and cheese. We both agreed it was the best burger (and mac and cheese) we have had in our lives (and we are in our 50s ). Not only was the food stellar, but the friendly service definitely made us want to go back. If you are staying anywhere near Mentone or driving through, this little truck is 100% worth the stop. I might alter my route on future road trips just to have an excuse to grab some food here.

We waited 1 HOUR and 15 minutes….for a burger and grilled cheese. By then, the food was underwhelming. They did refund a few dollars because my grilled cheese was made with burger buns. Bring a chair and spend your afternoon waiting for your food. The black dog outside was very cute:)

Best Burger I have ever had!!! The cucumber salad and potato salad were delicious as well! It’s a food truck and they also had a small farmers market as well going on. There is no seating to eat the food so it’s take out or eat in the car but It’s well worth it:)
