We love Fontanas! It is definitely a usual stop when we are craving Italian in town or the occasional burger. Everything is prepared very well and the atmosphere is perfect for a small town restaurant. Only thing is I wish they had more than one restroom, as it can get busy and it sucks having to wait for the restroom to be open. Other than that, outstanding!

We found this place through the Maps app, fairly high rating, as we were driving in the Little River Canyon area. It’s a tiny little bistro on a corner of the “downtown” area offering a small selection of Italian and Greek dishes and a handful of sandwiches along with several dessets. Doesn’t look like much from the outside and only offers about a dozen tables inside, but don’t be fooled, the food is pretty delicious.

Great place to eat for lunch. They were short handed but still served us in good time. Look at the board on the wall and build your plate. The food was great and the portions were big. I’ll be back

We went out for our 38th Anniversary. The food was delicious. The new location is closer to our house now that it is not in downtown Ft Payne.

This was the cutest restaurant with exceptional food. We loved everything!! Only thing that bothered me was the price on the spinach dip and chips … they were awesome but definitely not enough for the price. We will definitely go back again!!

The service was incredible. The food is such a delight. Their menu is loaded with tons of Greco-Italian food. They have Italian meatballs with a Greco spin to them which is incredible. My wife and I always go here on date nights because it’s all so good. I got the Cowboy calzone. And Italian meatballs with honey barbecue appetizer. The wife got spinach artichoke dip appetizer and the spanakopita dinner. We shared the molten lava cake at the end. So so good.

The food was outstanding especially the fried green tomatoes! Our server was excellent. The building left much to be desired but I will definitely revisit.

Good home cooking restaurant. I took a risk and ordered fried cod in the Alabama mountains. It was very good. My wife liked her spanakopita with potatoes. This place is an experience.

The experience here was the worst ever when I witnessed the owner get in the face of, very aggressively, and berate the waiter when she didn’t think anyone could see her. I was appalled. He had been working so hard and it was very busy. On our way out, I asked to speak to her. I said that there was no reason nor any excuse to speak to someone like that. She said, “Yes there is. You have to treat an invalid like that or they won’t work.” I mentioned that he may be autistic. I felt that he was doing a great job considering how busy it was and there was only the two running the front end. I left in utter shock at the cruelty and ignorance displayed here and will never be back. I feel so bad for the guy. She said he was her grandson. While I was waiting on the porch for my husband to pay, the other lady in the kitchen opened the side door for the guy to leave as she yelled, “Get out of here!” This was very unsettling. No one should be abused.
